hey guys,

i bought a surge tank and some pro flow fittings for my gtr. now the i used fuel hose with these fittings but in the time ive had the setup running its either pinched the fuel hose or cut it some how and ive ended up with boot full of fuel. is there any special fuel hose i should use or maybe am i doing the fitting up to tight maybe????????

Problem is you need to use the line to suit the fittings. If they are push on fittings you can get away with using normal fuel hose. If they are for bride, you must use bride, and if you want to go to teflon bride you must use the fittings to suit.

the fittings i have are the type you undo the nut which screws on to a bard like fitting,you push the nut over the hose and then push the hose onto the barb fiting. then tighten the nut back on. so it must squish the hose to seal it???? not a ver y good explanation

Teflon requires its own unique fittings with an olive etc -they are more expensive, but the difference isnt huge.

I'm not sure, but seeing as your saying there is a nut it sounds like you have fittings designed for braid... post some pics so we can be sure.

sounds exactly like the fittings used for braid, get some pro flow bride and use that, but you will still have some petrol smell there.

ok sounds the go.. im not to fazed to much by the fuel smell
