hey i'm pretty new to here and i was wondering when is the next track day in the eastern suburbs (hopefully). I have a race helmet and thats pretty much it for safety, and car is rwc. I'm not a member (paid up lol) of any car clubs and don't have a cams liscence.

i was wondering where everyone goes for there track days and an approximate cost. I would class myself as a average driver even though i spend all week in the dandy mountains lol. car is pretty much close to stock except for a few mods, so i'm wondering if anything should be done specifically before i go.

if anyone can piont me in the right direction for more info it would be great and providing it would be even better :action-smiley-069:

First up, I would suggest joining SAU Vic. Membership is cheap and has heaps of benifits. I would then look into getting a LS2 cams license. These are fairly cheap and allow you to compete in club level motorsport.

Everything you need to know is in HERE.

Last time I checked SAU Membership was $50 per year + $20 joining fee and Cams L2S was circa $85 per year.

Cheap considering the law won't chase you. Leaves more time for concentrating on the tarmac.

As scott said the benifits just keep adding up. And you do need to be a club member to get your Cams LS2 licence.

Also Driver Dynamics runs Track days at Sandown ( High Performance Driver training ) and you dont need a Cams licence.

The next Track day is 14th of Feb. There maybe a couple of spots left. Here is there link.DRIVER DYNAMICS

SAU runs a motorsport club championship in conjunction with the WRX Club. If you go to this thread http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/20...ar-t249048.html and open the excel file the events marked as WRX are the official SAU track days. However as an SAU member with a CAMS L2S license you would be able to attend all of the track days listed on that sheet (not just the official WRX/SAU ones).

SAU also host a few days a year at DECA as well. Do a search if you want to know more about them.

Hope that helps.
