remember a couple years ago when there was that WRX converted to RWD in NZ doing burnouts in a NZ industrial area and those 2 guys drifting somwhere in japan in the hills

Channel 7 used it for australian footage and said the WRX was in sydney and the hills footage was in SA! it had yellow lines on the road ffs

they do it all the time, its bullshit.

it interests me on why they use the same yellow r34 doing a donut in every hoon vid, when originally it was the camera man asking him to show a demonstration of horsepower.. next thing he knows hes on the news for hooning!

I vote we get the hairy wog to be our spokeswoman!

Well that is the thing... We have no avenue of actually voicing our views and opinions.. Would it be difficult to start some kind of group that would basically represent the greater car-enthusiast community. As of now I think we've got squat, maybe it is something that needs to be started and motivated by the car-club communities of Australia. No one else is going to help us..

even though the hoon law is suppose to affect everyone, some police will let people off if they are old and not in an import. i was at a THP table in the pearl room [casino] doing nothing and i overheard 2 old guys talking about how one of them was going 200 and got pulled over. when the cop saw him he said "you dont look like a hoon and your car doesnt seems like a hoons car" after that he was told to drive safely and was let go. then they started going on about how he wasnt hooning because he is an experienced driver and how the police should be targeting the young people in imports because they are the real hoon. i got angry, i wanted to yell at that guy because i am 19 with an import and i drive speed limit nearly all the time and ive had enough of old people speeding because they think they can drive, even though they have worse sight and reaction time then younger people.

just saw on the new some old guy who collect tanks was caught going 170 and has to go to court. i hope he loses his license for the rest of his life and get a large fine for his actions

On the radio they are saying a Guy got Caught for the 2nd time under the hoon law for powersilding his car around a bend (loaction) i forgot lol

tried looking on perthnow but nothing is up now just wondering on more details wow for once i know something before Bubba  lol

    • Some sense has prevailed! What kind of idiot spends money on intake, heads, and cams for a N/A motor in 2025? Lol. What maroons. Source:I am King Maroon.
    • So, cams are not getting installed......yet  Had a good chat with MX5 Mania about intakes, they recommend not to get ITB's, they recommend a plenum style for the NC So, one of these puppies is being ordered, with a larger TB to suit, when it arrives from the US the car will go in for the cams and intake I'm also getting a fancy rear box bit for the air filter box which will suit the new TB size
    • Clamp meter is pointless. Unless you're trying to keep average current under a set value for some weird reason (maybe you undersized your wiring?), then you'll get no useful info. What you're really trying to target is the flow of fuel coming back to the tank. You want some, but not a lot. You also want to make sure fuel pressure remains stable.   So, fuel pressure gauge, and fuel flow gauge. Set it up from that.
    • Aside from the fact it is likely fuel related if it is black, the symptoms otherwise sound like worn valve stem seals. Oil gets past the worn seals when the engine is off and burns when the engine starts. If it happens on deceleration while driving (puffs of white smoke) that is another valve stem seal symptom because oil gets sucked form the head into the combustion chamber under vacuum with the throttle closed. They can be replaced in the car if you have some way to keep the valves closed while working (eg compressed air into cylinders) but is much easier with head off.
    • Alright, fair enough. Expected as much. Possibly, yes. However the kit is apparently not including every single hose and it is out of stock too.
