Looking For Tyres With White Writing

I am trying to find 225/50 and 205/50 tyres in 15" with the white writing on them, ie the 'GoodYear' or 'Toyo' writing.

I have been to a couple of tyre places and they say that they only come for 4x4's, and the smallest they have for a passenger car are 265's.

I know they were popular back in the 80's and were phased out, but I thought they would suit the car, especially since I just purchased some original Bathurst mags for my 87' Skyline.

If anyone know some obscure brand or ideas where to look I would be grateful to know.

Ther were kits in the past that had white or other coloured rubber paint, you then painted in the letters you wanted.

Alternatively there are "whitewall" kits that glue (not clipon) on the sidewall, you could cut out the letters and add these where you want rather than being limited by what is moulded on the sidewall.

There are crayon type temporary paints to fill in letters but are a lot of effort as needs to be redone regularly.

This all bring backs badtaste memories of the 70/80s.......sorry did I say that out loud!!

The only problem with white writing is that you only need one little gutter scrape, and they then look really horrible.
