Have searched forum but cant find it. Can anyone tell me how to check timing on a NEO engine...

Through my search i found out the series 1 has a small wire above the rear of the head where you connect your timing light to check timing but the S2 neo is different.

from my experience and talking to a few mechanics, the rear wire method is not as accurate as: pulling off no.1 coil, putting an old fashioned spark plug lead from the coil to the spark plug and placing the timing light pick-up on the lead. A lot more time consuming though.

unplug the TPS aswell as it cancels the self learning . and do use the blue wire . if it says it in the r34 service manual i would use it . have to reset the ecu after you plug the TPS back in tho or the hicas light will come on because it relies on info from the TPS

ok cool. so the loop would be the blue wire at the back of the engine. and disconnect TPS.!

thanx guys

There were two loops at the back of my series I and both seemed to work the same.
