Indicators Not Cancelling

I did a search and came up with nothing relating to this.

I installed an after market steering wheel and boss kit (Nardi) in my 33 GTS-t over the holidays, and took it for a quick test drive only to find that my indicators were no longer cancelling!

I did as much testing as I could (car had no front bar or headlights so couldn't go far) but it definately wasn't cancelling.

I still have the standard steering wheel, and a second boss kit if that matters. Anyone got any ideas?

There should be 2 pins in the back of the boss kit that engage the cancelling mechanism. Either they are missing, or they are not projecting far enough to engage the mechanism.

Ahhh... I know what you are talking about. I was wondering what they are for, I will have a look see when I get home.

Do Skyline's have that little plastic ring that's behind the steering wheel that has 2 little dimples on it that turn the blinkers off once you've turned the wheel a certain amount? One of my old cars had that - then when I changed the steering wheel, it snapped and then the blinker wouldn't turn off

this happened to me when i put my momo wheel on the first time... wheel off and on again all was fixed

Just really having a guess here,

But i'v change the wheels on a couple of cars. If the indicator wont turn of it self. generally means you haven't alinged the boss kit correctly. there should be a like a arrow mark on the boss kit. That should face to the 12 O'clock position. Just take the kit off and on, that sometimes does it too.

Haha, glad I'm not alone

It is 99% likely to be a misaligned boss kit, just have to get my ass to the garage now to fix it... weather is a bit cooler today so tonight shouldn't be a problem
