Man I'd like to see your car hey

I bet you got some freaky shit on it :)

bring some equipment to the skill swap day i'll bring a mate that can help you with everything you need for this venture...

he converted a desktop computer into an mp3 unit and set it up so he plugged a 30 metre network cable in and uploaded mp3s via ftp.

also he controled the unit which was in his boot via a palm pilot hooked up via a serial cable...

was quite ingenious...

oh really? ok loh, I'll bring my laptop or I'll get new desktop with big hard drive. He got monitor to hook up the o/s? upload easy just use wireless lan or something or cable from ur computer inside ur house to your boot.

The thing is I want to get monitor and desktop/laptop to works with it as well as sound system inside my car, GPRS will do as well :)

oh icic, i prefer getting a keyboard and mouse to control the unit

lol, i'll get pillar mount something i forgot the name and put boost gauge.

Yeah , that's what i'm thinking getting new mobo with bluetooth with p4 keyboard and mouse good graphics, tv turner and massive hard drive (external usb)

do you think he can do it for me? if he can i'll meet him on sunday, bam come along

i'll give him a ring but he is definately the crazy bastard your looking for....him and his mate foxy

they are crazy electronic bastards...he ripped bits off a old tape dech and fixed his monitor that blew up

this would be possible in theory to do depending on some things

1. age of laptop

2. room inside the the car. ... . hmmm r34 isnt overly small

3. how much money ur willing to spend ! :P

it can be done if u really really want to do it. dont expect it to be cheap though

Ive got an iPod that plugs into an AiNet Din to RCA lead... switch source on the head unit to Aux and away we go. iPod sits snugly in my coin tray.

Of course an iPod is a fairly significant investment. But i luurrve the gadgets :D

Also ill give you guys the inside word on a new mp3 player that altronics are releasing in November. Its basically a single din sized unit that runs off 12V with LCD screen, full track controls on the front panel (I think it will even feature a USB2.0 port so you can upload from a laptop while its still in the car). With the use of a notebook hard disk it can easily be used in cars. We've been using it at work for weeks now and its really good!

    • Ok I get you. But isn’t the butterfly intake a headache with the +T?  see this is my plan so far but please advise me into the right direction.  Nistune Ecu, 1000cc Bosch injectors, TD05 or TD06 Kinugawa turbo using stock rb25det exhuast manifold, walbro fuel pump unsure of model I think it’s 450/460, spitfire coils and sparks to suit and a R35 MAF sensor and boost sensor.    I was thinking maybe do a cheap eBay plenum $400-500 or try find a stock det neo intake. I think I’d port match it so it’s getting the full capacity but open to advice please.  Thanks
    • The issue now is the 'fuel cut' while driving, and when it happend, it does not stall. This, I did not test the fuel pressure while driving as I cannot with a fuel pressure gauge. I do have Nistune logs, yes. I have also replaced the MAF Sensor.   Also related to the FPG Fuel Hanger – I just realized that I need a Deutsch Crimp Tool to crimp some cables for the FPG Fuel Hanger. Need to purchase additional cables as the kit only included 2, which are for the float. FPG has not responded to my emails so far since purchasing. I thought about taking it to someone and having it done professionally, but I am reluctant since everyone I took it to messed up in some way.
    • There's a good German place in Brisbane if youre up for the drive 😛
    • The German place in Cabramatta was rock solid, fresh pretzel cooked to order back then. Then it went all quiet, after all the poker machines were removed, then I believe it closed for good. I did drive past the other week and noticed outdoor lighting a big screen, but no idea what is there now.
    • Yeah I suspect even if you hold airmass per cycle/cylinder constant if you get too far away from stock you're still going to have problems running the factory tune within the bounds of the factory load scale. Cams, different displacement/rod ratio, etc. I'm just lucky that the GTIII-SS with wastegate boost + CA compliance cats is pretty much equivalent to stock turbos. When I have actual space I can finally get it tuned and modify the fuel system for flex fuel to 100% handle any detonation concerns when cranking the boost to whatever those dinky turbos can put out.
