Got mine and fitted em ( cheers Rianto ).

Just wondering if there's any logic for the following.

The factory front discs are thicker on the inside than the outside but the RDA's are the other way around. Can't think of why this would be.......

Cool upside is that the rear discs have jacking hose where factory ones don't :)

It doesn't make any difference. Centre holes are for ventilation. Brake Pads never made contact to the inner ventilation surfaces, as long as total thickness from outside to inside is the same as factory, it will be a perfect thickness fit for the caliper/pads. By the time your rotors are worn 2mm (only 1mm each side) it is already down to the minimum thickness and you will need to replace it.

lol, I know it should'nt make any difference, otherwise I would'nt have installed them but I just thought it was a bit strange.

Usually the inner disc surface is thicker as it cops more of a hiding than the outer surface. Was just making an observation and posing a question that you might pass on to RDA next time you happen to chat with them ?

All in all though, the slotted & dimpled rotors are :) With the QFM pads fitted and only 60km's clocked up they are already an improvement on the brakes I had.

:)

can I get a price on the slotted F+R rotors for R34 GT-T please ? Also, which pads does everyone recommend for normal street driving (no track/race) ? I don't want whiney pads or ones that wear too quickly..

Thanks Rianto received the items today.

ill fit them this weekend or next see if its perfect for my V35Coupe.

Ill let you know if anything.

Thanks.

Oh... i dropped the friggin Box of pads on my Foot.... :P ...

painfully heavy....

cool, yeh the rotors on them looks pretty stocky just standard flat layer.. and gray callipers and blue pads. OEM pads for sure.

oh by the way should i do any braking excercise when i fit them on??

Cheers Rianto

make sure your existing pads are not scored or grooved, otherwise it will ruin the new rotors' surfaces.

if it is, either you may need new pads as well, or if it's still got a lot of life in it, you can ask a mechanic to lightly machine it so it will be smooth.

ADD: I just read instruction not to "sand" friction surface as it will make things too smooth and no grip. so check with a knowledgeable brake mechanic if you have a scored pad surface whether it is safe to do so. If it's not then don't do it, get new pads

then after putting on the rotors, do the normal break-in procedure. you can find lots of info here: http://www.rdabrakes.com.au/index.php/technical.html
