hey, your starting to sound like jase lol, yeah i think i need a deadline. might have to team up with those r31s and do some solid consistent ass kicking. seeing that its not about being fast. or some consistent drinking afterwards. thats probably more likely.

would be good to have your dinosaur skyline along, the r31 guys would be happy to have a lower tech car around :P

plus it would give you a deadline

It would be great to see this event have a full grid after the Eastern Creek 6 hours has suffered over the last few years getting number, but i think letting cars without roll cages and not full CAMS licences will fill the grid up but could be a little dangerous.

Something else i would like to know if anyone knows, how they will run this event yet a Wakefield, Where are all the cars going be held, after running teams for over 5 years in the AROCA 6 hour eastern creek has enough garages and room behind the garage to get cars ready, to explain to people who don’t understand the car with the Velcro sash is on the track, you have the next car ready to go out sitting in the pit garage always ready to go just in case the car on the track brakes down or crashes, or once that car is low on fuel needs to pit you pull the sash of the car coming in and send out the next car. There should already be another car already in the garage also ready as the car that just left the pits could have a problem, this means you always need 2 cars sitting in 1 garage waiting to go, and have access threw the rear of the garage to bring another car in all the time, then when it’s one of those days when its wet and dry and you want to have car on dry racing tyres and one on wets you need 3 cars in the garage. I don’t see Wakefield with this much room and if the team is not set up to run like this you can lose a lap or even drop 1 minute very easy waiting for the next driver to get ready or wait for them to come through the back of the pits to get out on the track. And there goes the all the times and your screwed. Please let me know if some else has another way of running the cars if you have run other events like this?

I do hope this event dose work as I would like to do it, but i will watch for the first year to see how it all runs.

you dont have to use the pit garage to disperse the cars onto the track at wakefield.

Previous relay style enduros we've done the cars were dispersed from the dummy grid area.

So the car on the circuit comes into the dummy grid, tags switched over and the new car goes back onto the circuit. The other car travels back to the pit lane garages or to the sheds out the back with the rest of the team.

Next car gets ready heads to the dummy grid and the whole thing starts over again.

Thats just the way we have done it in the past and it seemed to work okay.

Risking, I can see how that would work, i can say im a fan of it, but every one would be in the same boat as change overs go and droping time, dummy grid at wakefield would be very very busy place with 30 cars trying to move in and out all the time and racing for it.

your exactly right in saying its a busy place, it all comes down to your change over strategy and how much confidence you have in the cars who make up your team.

This event will be a bit tough as ill be steering as well as trying to keep cars mechanically sound. Will be needing a different manager, to make sure everyone is where they should be. The 6 hour at the creek is very simple to organise like you suggested as there is ample room to shuffle cars around the paddock.

Wakefield makes life interesting.

We're going for the hell of it this year, the 6 hour latter and the 300 will be the serious events. Our team is so far consisting of good people who are all going for the same reasons... A lot of fun!

hey fatz, count me in with you guys if you are short, My car is apparently two older tecnologied for Duncans team lol. give me a call if there is a space. 0425349923. ps, i hear r31 have plenty of boot space for eskys.

yea baby

team driving slow for fun
