Never Thought We Could Forget Baby Godzilla, Eh?

See i don't think that speed kills. It's more of a advertising campaign aimed at the general populous. Most Muppet's can't handle a car, let alone a car at speed. There are a few out there that can control speed... but it's to hard to tell who!

So the cops/government just save themselves the time and money..... and just scare the entire population into worrying about speed. Easy :3some:

Also old people driving cars should have a "O" plate displayed!!! I give it 2-5 years, before scary old dudes in beige Camry's get "O" plates to protect the public.

I don't know which to be more scared of.... a Beige Camry with "O" plates or a "P" plater in a Fully sick VL :3some: (either way they should both be banned!)

I agree with the "O" plate idea... ...I work with quite a few people that still have their licenses that don't drive often enough to know if they are being a risk or not... ...The sad thing is I can't do anything about it due to privacy laws... ...I know one guy clearly has dementia (undiagnosed ATM but I work with enough people to know) and his wife still lets him go out for a drive because she just isn't strong enough physically and mentally to put up with his complaining if she doesn't let him go... ...If I drove a shit box like him I'd wait around the corner and then let him drive into me just to get him off the road...

I think license renewal should also come with driver testing if you've lost any demerits during the last period... ...Or at least Sight / Hearing / Reaction tests and a few random road rules just to make sure everyone still keeps up to date with the rules...

Another thing is... ...extend the period a vehicle can be registered for but make a Road Worthy Test part of the process for renewal... ...I'm sick of seeing shit boxes with faded tail lights blowing smoke into my A/C... ...And I get pulled over because a cop sees me back out of a park spot with only one reversing light... ...I'd just backed out of SuperCheap and was heading home to INSTALL IT!!!...

There are three types of drives I try and stay clear of... ...Those with glasses... ...Those with dints and scratches... ...and those with hats...

And if I happen to get a trifecta... ...I just pull over and turn the engine off...

And ask god why...

This guy did a driver training day with me a couple of years ago, we did a piece for the Herald Sun newspaper.

To be honest he wasn't that flash at driving, didn't really impress me very much, and like some club racers he thought he was a whole lot better than he actually was.

He wasn't real good at doing emergency stops in the wet at 65kmh, so he certainly wouldn't be very good at 170 !

    • Hey all, not sure how active SAU is anymore but will ask away anyways. Just wanted to get some experience on the 2008 model GTR CBA model.  I've hit that age in my life (43) where I'm like fk it time to get my dream (midlife crisis) car. Looking at importing one in and seeing if these can be reliable if the main flaws are fixed up. Plan is to keep money aside to do the following straight off the bat to future proof it: * install a stage 1 rebuilt trans with all new bits and pieces.  * install a new Bellhousing from the later model GTRs. Or potentially an upgraded stronger version like MAD or ATR. Besides the above two things and typical maintenance items anything else you'd recommend doing.   Been speaking to a few people and the engine on these are very reliable apparently. But keen on the view of the community here. Hoping to find a nice grade 4.5 with low mileage in Grey. I'd go black but swirls too easy. Look forward to your responses and feedback. Cheers
    • Do Alan and Keith work on Skylines now? I remember buying stuff from them when I owned my Ralliart Lancer a few moons ago. Definitely genuine guys and be excellent if they dealt with the skyline platform as well.
    • Hey all, I'm Gaston from Sydney's West.  I was a member on here when I was a younger lad and owned a mint R33 GTS-T. Ended up selling it and getting married having kids (yadda yadda) we all know how the story goes. Now I'm back with the intention to get my midlife crisis (dream) car ... a R35 GTR.  You'll see me about asking questions and searching the forums. Good to be back and can't wait to get back an Import again.
