you mean like a guarrantor loan? yeh i think some financial institutions have them.... Don't know much about them as i don't do them. You could have a look at a joint loan if your parents are willing to be a joint applicant, however this may not always help if they have a large home loan, credit card so on and so forth. So you kinda gotta decide whether you are better off alone or with them on the application.

Thanks for all the help guys and yeah i cant garentour because my mum is self employed and my dad lives over east im gonna try again with my own bank then seek out ones who only want 3 months waiting period between enquirys

Go with the bank u have all your history with.

I have been with commonwealth since i was 5 (now 27). I applied for an unsecured personal load the other car to buy a VZ/VE SS Ute.

Got approved for 36k on the spot. The lady said I had a great Banking history with the bank and she also tried to up my credit card limit another 8K at the same time(I declined I don't need the temptation). Start by getting a small credit card and build history with your bank. Buy the car with your saved cash and the credit card. Never miss a payment and anyways pay as much as you can every months. Makes you look good.

You can get a fix rated secured loan through RAC. Skylines can be used as assets with RAC but you can't insure under them. (a bit stupid imo), but it worked for me. And they have quite good rates. I got mine at 9.75% december '07 because I paid $50 for RAC membership fee.

Ring Steve at Western Australian Auto Fiannce, helping when the big banks can't lol. In regards to the loan, avoid attempting to get money from several places because it is noted on your credit file. There is no good credit rating, you just get shitter when you apply or default with credit.

i was havin the same prob. 18 and on a trainees wage

i went to westralian auto finance coz my uncle had gone with them. they said there wasn't any probs in me gettin a loan for that amount. but when they asked what car i told them. he said ' no sorry dont touch imports if it was a 4cl car like a lancer for eg then it would be fine.

so went to commonwealth bank down the road from work. i was able to get it but so i had more of a chance of gettin approved they suggested use a guarantor. so used my dad. and i got it

ummm unsecure loan has nothing to do with your car your buying... its all about ur income, what you own and how long your been doing your job.

secure loan, looks at what your borrowing it for.

so if you've been knocked back for unsecure loan, then thats to do with you.. they dont care what you do with a personal unsecure loan... you just need the income/age/job security.

go to a dealer 'importer' pay more for it and they'll get you a loan easy

    • Hey guys. I have a 400R on its way to Australia from Japan currently and have a few questions I’m hoping others may be able to help with.   Wondering if anyone here has had any luck getting the Sat nav unit to work in Australia!? Assuming the Stereo is as simple as a band expanded and tv won’t work?  Seeing as they’re based off a Q50 which is Aus delivered is there any way to link that system to the nav? Nav modules and head unit are different part numbers and appear slightly different at the rear with plug ins etc. can I put my xtrail sd card into the rv37 and will that convert the maps or update to Australian? Has anyone got any advice here?     also has anyone fitted the factory remote start and Security system once it’s landed in Australia? I put an enquirey to Nissan Japan in via a third party, and they suggested it needs a Nissan Japan dealers device to setup and couldn’t guarantee if one here could do it or not. They can supply and I can physically fit it but to setup I would need a dealers device. Any information here would be appreciated also. I’ve seen one here with it fitted already prior to leaving Japan at a dealer/inporter, so clearly passes compliance and works when fitted Japan and doesn’t need changing here.      also, does the tyre inflation sensors work here? Does anything change with them when the vehicle arrives? Where are they actually situated? I’ve read they have batteries and they need to changing at times and seems like resetting involves the nav system?    any help here would be appreciated and any other aust specific information to help would be great. Looking forward to see what the current generation skyline is like and eager to see how many of the gadgets can be utilised here.  Thanks in advance
    • Do need to take it with a pinch of salt. One of the adapter failures, they clearly had setup issues with the flywheel.  One of the slipping ones I spoke to and it was pretty clear the throwout was riding, rather than fix, just swapped to a new clutch.    These clutches are being put in anything from 5k offroad 4x4 beaters, GR yaris, 500hp commodores to 1200hp barra monsters. Bound to be some issues in some of them when they are not a simple bolt in affair due to the changes in height.    There is a lot going on in this picture and unless I did the job myself no way to tell what really happened.
    • I did this mod in 2019  You just have to modify the top bracket of the ABS/TC/Fuel Pump Control ECU so it sits more upright and closer to the back seat and run a good quality positive battery lead from the engine bay, the negative lead i just bolted down to the body in the boot.
    • Damn... Not the feedback I want to hear.
