For some reason the drivers side mirror makes me see double when I look into it. My eyesight

is pretty good, no glasses etc. Is this just me? drives me crazy.

Passenger mirror is no problem. My other car has one of those split distance near/far mirrors

and no problems with it, either..

Mirror vibrating?

Do you see double when the cars off and stationary

it gives me a headache when stationary too. I feel like I'm going cross eyed.

only by closing one eye (either one) does it look right.

Stock, it is a split design, yes? I mean part of the mirror gives the kind of vision

that makes the yanks put "objects may be closer than you think" stickers on it,

but the other part is normal?

Im guessing your side rearview mirror is still Convex, that could be why its giving you a hard time to look at it.

Its should have been changed to a Flat mirror for compliancing.

If you can, just remove the mirror and try to "Pop" it flat or push it in flat and see how you go.

I think you are right. I don't know how a japanese drivers put up with it - at least as it looks to me.

geez, my compliance shop had an easy job for their $3k: gave me a compliance cat in a cardboard

box and sign a bunch of paperwork!

LOL!

My mirror was left convex, you get use to it. Im suprised you just noticed, how long you had the car for?

As for Compliance, you get some who do the whole lot and some just do the main things like Intrusion bars, Unleaded fuel restictor cap (so only unleaded fuel hose can go in, nothing else), Child restraints, fix the car back up to driveable standard so to pass road worthy etc...

LOL!

I got two things which look like child restraints! .... they are also in a box.

Wondering if there are intrusion bars now.

I didn't notice the mirror because I'm like the italian in that joke: what is behind isn't important.

Actually i did notice (that it was convex) but just subconscious about why it sucked until the other day when I realized without concentrating on it hard, everything was double.

still in the box...lol id follow it up to see if it was fully complied. it may be a good thing that parts are in the box cause you keep everything original, then again it can cause doubt and complications later on down the road if it gets picked on by the cops. id say you'd be able to get them to stick it all in free of charge if you do run into trouble cause technically they are liable for the compliancing of the car to australian standards and you did pay 3k for it to be done....thats if they are still around..lol.

LOL! The Italian... Thats a first time joke I have heard about LOL!

Child restaints in a box... Well then, no baby seat for you in that car and its probley the last thing you want in a GTR anyway LOL!

I have seen some shitty jobs done with the child restraints, some compliance places just bolt it through the cover of the rear speakers LOL! Mine are bolted behind the speakers.

Don't worry about it too much, unless you want a baby seat in.

I guess the only way to see if you got the intrusion bars is to remove the inside door panel.

As for you side rear view mirror, just get you mechanic to take it out (if you can't or don't wanna break the mirror) and get them to push it inwards to make it flat or just replace it.

    • It only looks tidy, as most of the stuff that was on the whole back wall, is now in the trailer to go to the tip, or has been shoved in my 2.2x2.4m "Spare parts room", and now I can't get to anything in there Ha ha ha I could definitely do with a bit more space, but I'd just end up with your problems I'm going to enclose the car port beside the garage, and move a lot of stuff into it I think. OR... It will be setup as a fabrication area, and the main garage will have parts storage in it. I'm not sure yet... Need some pictures of that big shed you've got with the bikes and Skyline in
    • No. I think it's gone. 😭 I think you can get body coloured ones on eBay so I think I'll get one of those... Or just hang a red ribbon from the hole and whack a TOW sticker next to it.
    • Can't say I've had a bad experience with one on my car, then again it only gets washed once or twice a year... The wheels on the other hand, get a good spray often due to my shitty dusty pads.
    • @MBS206 thats pretty neat and tidy to me!  I'll get a photo of mine when I'm out there next. It might require multiple photos to understand the scale of the atrocities though... In total I have 4 sheds of varying sizes and layouts. Main shed is 14x8, second shed is 3x8, third shed is 11x2.5, fourth shed is around 6x4.  All are pretty much full.   The main goal of my cleaning tsunami is to make the main shed predominantly car and motorbikes only. Second shed is my metal fab room (2 x bench grinders, drill press, bench belt sander, metal band saw, scrap metal storage and some of my garden tools.  3rd shed is more bigger garden stuff, storage for engine crane, jack stands, concrete grinder, concrete mixer, air compressor lives there, and it now has two 2mx2m pallet racking shelves with itemised boxes holding building stuff, electrical stuff, plumbing stuff, etc, etc.  The 4th shed is Ryobi electric ride on mower, mini boom sprayer, ancient Kubota tractor, more garden stuff!  I have got a lot of shit....  Then there's the pool house (8mx4m) and the pool pump shed (4mx4m).  I built all of the sheds over the 11 years we've been here.  The main shed was a Ranbuild kit, the rest are all custom made to fit the areas available. Building the main shed taught me a LOT as I had no idea about building anything prior to that!  I've still got one more in me. It will be my man cave which I poured the extra concrete for way back when I poured the concrete for the main shed. The idea is the Skyline will be a centre piece of the main cave once (if...) it's finished.  I told my now 14 year old son yesterday that I will 100% drive him to his year 10 formal in 2 years. Still a long way off but at least I now have a date to work towards! 🤣
