So id be looking at spending the 3-4 grand mark when trying to get an r33 gtst series 2 to a safe 250rwkw.

Hopefully I can find one with already a good exhaust setup, turbo timer , boost control to save me having to purchase that aswell.

Yeah something like that. Depends mainly on the quality, brands and condition of the parts you buy. If i was you i would look for one with a nice free flowing exhaust, fmic, pod and aftermarket ecu tuned for the stock turbo so you can then just buy the new turbo to suit the power delivery you are after and get some injectors, AFM and a tune. Makes things a bit easier.

Then hopefully I can just get a new turbo, injectors afm and a tune. Will keep costs down a fair bit.

Any suggestions on a turbo?? after something that spools up nice and quick. To have that responsive feel.

The way i look at it when thinking of a turbo to buy is, pick the max power you will want to run, then find all the turbos that make that much max power and then find a good comprimise between which one comes on boost earliest and cost etc. Also things like low mount, straight bolt on, internally wastegated turbos will be a lot cheaper. As for exhaust, any dump and front should be big enough, high flow cat or no cat will flow enough, and a 3.5 inch catback i would want for 250kw.

If you want bang for your buck buy an automatic GTST R33. Can easily nab one under $10k. If you really want a manual then for the sedan. You run the risk of getting a lemon of a (manual coupe) GTST for 10k and under, and R32s are simply too old for a non car savvy driver like you or I.

I'm in the same position, new poster, reading everything in site on the forums, looking for a nice r33 SII.

Not sure if I should be looking for a stock'ish or modded.
