How are the torque curves in comparison.

I think I had the shift light set for 6500 as this kept it in the fattest part of the curve. It was also limited to 7500.

I have been told that revving the old 3.0ltr past 7500 is waiting for trouble.

But then I did nanny the old girl(well as much as you can nanny a car at the track or strip).

How's the traction, or lack of it, it was loose when I had it at only 380.

Excellent results, hope the drags went well.

Congrats on the time mate. You absolutely nailed that launch on that pass! Was hoping you'd crack a 10.9 on the last pass but looked like it bogged a little on the launch. Still, got to be happy with a 11.10 and the knowledge there's more in it.

Cheers for the chips too dude!

oh good to hear bud can you send pic of your graph if u don't mind. At the end of the day if I put a precision 6466 I think it would hold like yours to, because Yavuz said should get a result of 500+

I will try and scan it up tonight.

Actually I think Yavuz did say to go a 6766. So you worked on my car when you were at advan???

Mark used to always bring the car in to Advan for his work. I left there about 4.5 years ago and since then he has obviously switched workshops. Yavuz and his team know whats going on and he is a gun tuner ;)

Maybe he changed his mind on the 6766 after tuning our one. I know he has used the 6466 on a few cars and he has been happy with them. With your car being an RB30 i would think the 6766 would be a better option. Its slightly larger, but so is the RB30 ;) Given the power levels its capable of its super responsive and provided you can screw the boost into your engine they will continue to make power well into the 30psi range

Congrats on the times last night. The ET is awesome though the mph is a little low for the power level. How warm was it out there last night? I am wondering whether your ECU is picking something up and pulling some timing out to compensate for it, hence the lower mph. With 425rwkw I ran an 11.00 but it was at 136.5mph. The car constantly traps in the mid 130's. I would have expected your car to running quite similar mph. A mate had a problem like i am describing at Jambo a few years ago. Was driving it to the staging lanes and the engine was getting hot. The car had previously run an 11.3 so i put some cams in it to see if we could get it to run a 10, but it went backwards. Yavuz went for a drive with my mate and found the car was pulling timing out due to heat soak. We pushed it in the staging lanes and it straight away went 11.1 at 128mph

What does it weigh? Do you know?

It sounds like the track was really good last night. There was some decent cars out testing so it sounds like they prepped the track a bit better than normal for a Wednesday night

Oh ok sweet. Ummm I'm pretty sure the track was prepped real. Also I'll ask Yavuz which turbo he was saying to put in. My mph is a bit low not sure why it was warm out there but all my temps were fine. Not sure how much it weighs exactly but I know it's heavier then normal cause of roll cage I had a lil extra fuel on board to.

the only way you will know if everything was ok is to check it through a laptop. The dash gauges will noramlly look fine. I know for a fact that Yavuz is pretty tight on the safety side of things and doesnt leave much to chance.

Do they still scrutineer cars these days? if they do, go through the left lane into the shed as it has a weigh bridge which they normally are happy for you to use. Just gotta make sure the car behind you doesnt follow you in

Give us a yell next time you race it. We should be out next Friday night at the Full Throttle Friday. Hopefully we are asked not to come back until it has a roll cage and a parachute :)

I took the car to the creek last week when I came off the dyno, then put it back on the dyno on tues so we can see on the com what had changed and Yavuz said every thing stayed the same which was a good sign. Yeah I put on the weigh bridge there once just can't remember what it was it was heavier than my mates r33. Deff give you yell when I'm going out next. We're is full throttle Friday at?

Thank champ I think it did bogge a bit still good though I'm happy with that 4 now.. Take care dude

Last time I weighed it it was 1425 or 1525 with 1/4ish tank of 98 from memory, add 80kg at track weight for me..

I think maybe the shift points and or traction at launch could be a issue.

It use to do 11.08 at 132mph @ 380 killerwasps, with a extra 70 killerwasps you should have that high 10.

Did you give the new tyres a big cooking, I would bag it up for a good 5 seconds in second revving it at about 5500, I think 12 psi in the M/T DR gave me my best 60' of 1.655.

I would launch it at 4250, any less and it would bog down and any more and it would bag the tyres, I would launch at the low psi setting and as soon as I hit third I would hit the remote for the EBC and go to high psi, this combination seemed to work the best in regards to overpowering the tyres in first and second gear.

I did have a few go's at launching in second but didn't have much luck over the 60'.

Every shift was at 6500.

Anyway practice makes perfect, and it is fun trying to find the best combination of things you got to do.

Yeah it weighed over 1500 when I checked 2 weeks ago, shift points and launch was not the best at all. Gave the tyres a nice cooking in second, didn't have any wheel spin what so ever on the last two runs with 15 psi in tyres. I launched under 5000 it was no good bout 5500 was ok. Yavuz did mention if I keel getting no traction he will set that button on my steering wheel for low high boost.

My old gtr I ran an 11.1 @ 129mph with only 320awkw.

I lot of ppl find it hard to believe but I also ran over the finish line in 3rd gear hitting the limiter for what felt like 1 second...that was capable of a high 10 run with such little power!

A 2 step is a kind of launch control. Allows you to set a launch rpm as well as muck around with the tune to produce boost in neutral. It can be pretty brutal on both oil pumps and driveline though

Throw a couple of washers between the nose of the diff and the cradle where the bolts are ;) It makes quite a difference for tractions believe it or not. I find even launching ours with the ET STreets on i need about 7500rpm or it bogs down

11.1 with 320 in a 32 GTR is about right. A car i work on does it on a set of Bob Jane All Runders lol

It was only my second time runnin my car it's capable of more 10.7 and I would be happy

Daniel used to race it all the time though and was pretty damned good on the launch.

I reckon the ET Streets on a car with your power would almost be more of a hindrance than a help
