Decks From The Usa

I was just wonderin about if i were to get a deck from the states, would the FM Am Tuner work on it for our stations?

If not, how do i make it work, and if so, excellent

i got an alpine from the states .. it really depends on the deck .. but mine works perfectly cause its digital ...

Yeah mine is a Pioneer and it works fine with our frequencies.

Yep I got an explode one and never had any trouble with.. there shouldnt be any difference with the radio frequency with US and Aus anway. and there is no problem with any of the electronics . My speakers were also all bought in the states .$45 for 6x9's cant got wrong

Hippy, Im gettin the Pioneer DEH P850MP in from the US.

Not for me, but I just want 2 c if the radio will work fine.

one thing to keep in mind ( and that the question wasnt really answered) is the

AM band in the usa uses 10 khz spacing - so it goes 530->540. aust uses 9khz spacing meaning 963->972. the FM band width is different also.

its only the am side that wont work properly and that depends on how you have the unit set up. most have a switch to set the band spacing. give the manual a read when you get it. pioneer use a key sequence sony have a switch.

yeah mine had that as well .. i mean i could chose the band spacing so it works perfectly fine
