On the R33 the water pump and the altenator are driven on the same belt and the tensioner is in the altenator bracket. If you look down past your top radiator hose you see it. Just loosen the locking nut and then undo the long nut on the threaded bolt at the back of the bracket. This will loosen it and you will be able to take the belt off and change it.
