Dry sumps aren't that expensive. People tend to look over them because they prefer to spend money on other things. If I had lots of money I sure as hell wouldn't be stuffing around with a rb26 motor.

The car doesnt look to be running one. Compare the motor on display with the one in the car, no belts or drives running off the harmonic balancer.

Hey, the reason i like the 26 is they do sound sweet with a T51 on them bouncing off the 2 stage limiter at the drags on launch. It is a ferocious sound, and in a Cerbera, well if you are going to ditch the std 6 or V8 then it would only be to go AWD. There are a few people that have popped the std motors and thrown alloy LS1/LS3s in there. But i love the flat pane wail of the AJP8. If you want lumpy V8 in a fibreglass sports car then get a Griffith or Corvette. If you want a wailing banshee then the Cerberas are on the money...so RB26 suits the character of the car, especially with a big single hanging off it. Makes you wonder why they didnt just stick with the OE dry sumped SPeed Six motor (4L) and graft teh RB26 front diff housing up front like they have done. 4L and T51 SPL and AWD, If only i had the £140,000

The motor on display was a spare JGTC motor if I remember correctly. I remember someone asking about those cam covers on this site ages ago.

Another, more striaght forward one i have thought about would be the all alloy 8L V10 out of Viper into a 240Z old kitted up. I imagine the weight of the engine wouldnt be any different then to the all steel L series engine :) I fyou had a clue, a welder and money there are so many cool things you could whip up :D

    • Just something I found searching for more info on Emotion R, apparently the ECR33 Skyline GTS25t was either originally black, or there were two of them, the black one being the original demo car, then building a white one which was part of the 1997-onwards (to at least 2008!) Cockpit Tatebayashi Tokyo Auto Salon booth demo cars. It appears that Emotion R closed down in 2008 and was declared bankrupt in 2010: http://bank-db.com/hasan/208365. I used to love doing this 20 years ago on SAU and got a bit nostalgic for a moment... 😅
    • Try fabricating something like this and install it under the pedals? Not sure if it's legal or not....
    • Even though I have some pretty good (brand) ratchet ringies, I avoid using them to break open tight bolts. A broken ratchet is very annoying.
