they're just clearance items they have in stock ... so if you like any of those colour combos, I'd suggest you get it there because its cheaper AND faster (when you custom order wait is approx 3 weeks)

eg. they only have one set for the R34 GTT in factory colours ie. meh.

They look awesome. If i were to get one i think i'd go for Black outer, white inner, with 'Skyline' in Black writing. I don't think i'll have enough money to spare by the 6th of February though. Maybe if i win the lotto or something then i'll be down for it lol.

ok guys. I will be away for the next two weeks now, so when I get back if there is a definate interest of at least 15 people I will start taking the orders and get the ball rolling.

i saw these on ns last year and im 99% sure he said they were made from leatherette.

either way im still pretty down for r34 gtt

the factory is still in hoppers crossing right???

So whats gonna' go down with these.. me and my mate will be looking into it in Late Feb .. sorry guys .. dont have the dosh just yet.

My mates got a S14 200sx and ive got the R34.

Looking at doing everything available.

So if the group buy stretches. me and him are in.

After talking to the guy via eBay looks as though R34 Sedan and R34 coupe seats are identical but if I was to put these on I'd lose my middle arm-rest in my sedan .. which would suck badly :P ... not too sure I wanna go down that path.

found the silvia site, has the colour chart :S dunno if its still the same or not

Yeah he's saying its leatherette there. Not keen on that. Leather breathes, feels quality and isnt sticky and sweaty on a hot day.

Yeah he's saying its leatherette there. Not keen on that. Leather breathes, feels quality and isnt sticky and sweaty on a hot day.

So has he changed his story about leatherette and now calling it 'reborn leather' or has he actually changed the type of material he's using?

Seems to suggest they're not the same product at all, yet:

http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...t&p=4366464

basically says that they are... and refer to a guy called "Max" which is name of the guy in the first post ...

Well ive only heard good reviews of the products that he sells.

Seems pretty good..

Some of the installs ive seen sit snug to the seat.

Secondly, the feel of the leatherette is alright, flet my mates one.. looks alright and feels great.

So it really depends.. i;ll come out with it..

if you dont want to spend thousands on real leather this is the way to go i guess.

Anyone know how the quality of these compares to the ones from Ultimate Auto, which were the ones from the previous group buys? There used to be a fairly large price difference between the two but the prices have come closer.

Ultimate Auto claimed they used semi-leather (whatever that really is).

Also is the logo stitched on or merely embossed?

I did enquire about Ultimate Auto when i was getting mine.. Apparently it is the same material.. It really comes down to what Vik has stated.. he can offer you real leather but will be looking at double the price roughly.. it ain't exactly like leather but it is the next best thing i have found..

Mine are a tight fight but still arent "factory" tight like the originals and i wrapped mine over the originals as a plan to return to stock if the need arises... and i plan to get them sown down in the middles to make them like factory

the logo is stitched on..

    • Thanks for reaching out!  It's a blessing and a curse at the same time.  I'm undiagnosed but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see it in me... I have more half started projects laying around my house, shed, garden, etc taking up space and money, destroying aesthetics than if I added up all of my mates projects together. But, ADHD gives me the ability to hyper focus on things that no mere mortal could even  comprehend.  A recent pool build is an example of that....  I dont know anyone else that would be dumb enough and focused enough to take on then complete something of that magnitude. I call ADHD a superpower but it can equally be completely destructive if not controlled and focusedon the right places. Addiction is a major concern to ADHD people and thankfully my addictions have been no worse than projects, XBOX, chocolate and being an arsehole! It's often hereditary and my 13 year old son is currently learning how to drive it at the moment. Keep lurking! If i can finally finish this bloody thing at some point it will be a win for all of us ADHD'ers! 🤪
    • I've been quietly following this thread for ages, but this one got me. Since my ADHD diagnosis (and associated learnings and prescription) I'm way less inclined to wade into forum yarns when there are better things to do with my time, as half the time I'd end up in some kind of forum debate even if that wasn't my intention. I've not lost the ADHD "superpowers", just am a lot better at directing my hyperfocus into slightly more constructive things, but haven't stopped quietly lurking in here in my spare time.
    • Stripped the tank down and gave it a good scrub. It came up really good! Not sure if I'll just put it back in like that or give it a blackening treatment (such as Bowdens The Black Box). That might give it a matte look so might just run it as is.
    • @MBS206 Ha ha, yeah ADHD is a daily battle to not get drawn in to doing things you want to do that you know you shouldn't do!  Every single time I walk into my shed I end up doing something I started the day having zero intention of doing! I keep mentioning the 1 step forward, 3 steps back scenario and I'm tipping people that are blessed with ADHD (yes, blessed) are the worst at that!
    • We import a lot of cars from Japan. I'd say that approximately 20% of our traffic is imported JDM cars (mainly consumer cars like the Mazda Demio, Toyota Yaris, Honda Fit, Suzuki Swift, etc.). We also import a lot from the UK, but this has decreased after Brexit. Apart from the consumer vehicles, two of the larger, well-known dealerships frequently import iconic '80s/'90s JDM cars. I haven't heard of anyone importing from Australia, and they are not advertised (unlike Japanese ones), despite a lot of Maltese migrating to Australia in the '50s and '60s.
