a mate reccomended a kkr replacement turbo around $580 from ebay, had a look, rated too 430hp etc, what are peoples opinions on these, or a VG30 turbo, i like the idea of KKR because it is a new item and not used before.

no one keen on helping me :'(

Search here and on Google for lots on the KKR units. Mostly not to positive but anyway, have a read.

Ditto for lots of turbo and other options for RB20. See the stickys at the start of Forced Induction forum for lots of info.

I do feel for you though. There's so much info that you may have even more questions afterwards. Anyway, lots of options is always a good thing.

Good luck.

Honestly, a good look at the suspension and replace buggered stuff. Throw a proper dump pipe on it. A toshi remap for the std turbo, or perhaps an R33 turbo. Unless you are willing to poor thousands at the car i wouldnt go for anything bigger then an RB25 turbo with a chipped ecu.

If you ave cash left over spend it on some GTR rims and tyres and go belt the thing around the track and spend the money enjoying it rather then pouring cash into it. Getting carried away with mods ruined the fun i have with my car :)

GO the rb25 turbo , i boosted my vg30 too 16.5 pound daily and couldn't kill it, mind u all that rb20 in my r31 was good for was drifting and thrashing, made fun power and bigwank noises but, no good for daily driving. :D

+1 - cheap mod i got my turbo 4 $300 from sss automotive, rb25 turbo should tire u over till u can grab an rb25 witha decent snail :(

So So true. Enjoy the car Punt it around on as many track/private practice days as possible otherwise it will snowball into a money pit thats sits in the

garage in pieces with promises of being the weapon it deserves to be.

In all honesty you really need to evaluate what your long term goals are for the car and study study study cause man there is hours and hours of info on every path you could wanna take. its all been done. jus do it once and do it right otherwise your just pi$$in money up the wall.

+ 1 to having fun in your car insted of turning it into a money pit.................................. like me ;)

It'll cost you thousands and thousands to mod it, and will cost you that again to fix it wheni breaks every 3 months.

If i had my time again (and will soon) im gunna buy a stocko (or close too) coilovers, tie rods, castor rods, camber arms, brakes, fmic, oil cooler, and in your case r33 turbo, boost controller and tune.

Then you can have fun. for a long time.
