Radiator Blew Up Today, Help Please.

Sorry if im a n00b or w/e. My radiator just blew up today, started leaking brown rusty water i believe it was.

Anyway, so do i need a new radiator now?

Are all radiators for skyline's the same? My car is an automatic NON-TURBO.

also, i had an argument with a m8, because my mate opened the coolant, i believe that the bubbles were overheated so it blew up. but he just sez it just randomly happened.. was he opening up the coolant while my car was running hot what made it leak? or was it just a random thing

opening up the cap would have released pressure which would have nothing to do with it leaking. it leaked because it's probably old. you should be able to pick up a cheap second hand one.

yeh and no not all skyline radiators are the same. look on the forum for a good second hand one.

I feel you pain I had to get a new one after my waterpump sheared off and took the fan and radiator with it

Think it was around $350 which is pretty expensive, get on the phone and get prices from wreckers for a 2nd handy,

failing that u never know you luck in trading post or similar

brown rusty water.... u will wanty to give it a flush and put deent coolant in it when u get a new rad!
