Knock Vs Oil Filter

personally I look forward to using k&n, never heard a bad word said about them and they cost like $22, $4 more than what nissan charged me for their filter

oem filters are like 10 or 12 bucks at the local Nissan dealer, I just use those now, don't really see the point of a $20+ drift/k&n one on a stock motor.

Just bought a drift oil filter for my oil change tomorrow. Kinda put me off putting it on now. Looked up some more posts off Google on other forums and people reporting problems with them also. Mite just go swap it with the ryco one at autobahn to stay on the safe side.

I bought three when they were on sale, I've been happy with them so far. Using the last tomorrow, prob go k&n after that.

In perspective, I'd rather change a $10 filter every 5k than a $20 filter every 10k (as what is recommended)

Theres both good and bad sides to the drift oil filters. But the bad always sways you more lol. Gonna use either the K&N or ryco instead for this change.

read the post from martyr it backs up trents argument , im sure if there was a problem with any product people like trent would be the first to notice it as it what they deal with every day !!!, most new products before they hit the market are given to mechanics and work shops to test as they will find a problem before some bloke in a slightly modifiyed car !! just saying

Nobody was saying the filter medium was no good were they? Just that the anti drain valve doesn't seem to seal as well causing a noisy cold startup, which is the issue I had with them.

Could have been rectified by now...
