my car is at home in perth and im in qld on holidays at mates place and i want to make a plate to fit over the standard bov on the rb20det at home as all the gear is here to do it myself.

does any one have the dimentions from center of bolt to bolt?

and over all length and overall with. probably make it 6mm thick.

its to block it off so can install after market bov lower on the pipe.

AND WHAT IS THE DIAMETER OF THE HOLES TO FIT THE STOCK BOLTS?

Ok I am holding one BOV in my hand right now

A: centre to centre is 86 mm

B: overall length is 104 mm

C: width is 50 mm

D: Blow off hole diameter is 30 mm - the hole itself is 25 but it tapers out to 30 mm

E: Diameter of the bolt holes is exactly 10 mm

Hope that helps

champion, thanks mate.

thats a rb20det one right?

Also when you block off the BOV port you will also need to block off the hose connecting to it. Coke bottle lid is about as good as anything else

well im actually gonna use the plate to weld an elbo on ot to fit my BOV that needs a 38mm outer D.

easier welding the bov there than to exsisting intercooler piping i guess... like this below

until the coke lid melts, and yes they do.

how are you gonna melt it

the air doesn't get hot enough to melt ally, well, it shouldnt.

i suggested coke can too in his other thread :P

i ran for 2 yrs with a coke bottle lid in there and no sign of melting. Sure yours isnt making excessive heat ?

wasnt mine, but helping to change one out after going through nasho tells me they can.

id rather run a chair leg stopper onto the metal pipe if your gonna do it that way :D
