a lot of mods for the money, (which I still doubt he will get)!

edit: if he is a member here, I'm sorry, I take that back. Great price! GL with the sale!!

still it is interesting what passes "compliance" these days.

he already has 1 R35, and he was talking about another... I'm assuming that one has landed as well... dunno really

The R35 is registered too, he gave us the option of having the V or the R at the show and I said we will happily take the V :P

I figured every man and his dog would have an R at their stand at final battle... there wasn't even one

Yep, Carl's car is gorgeous!

As for getting through compliance, my understanding is that the car came over stock, and he had it twin turbo'd. It then let go on him at Wakefield, after which he had the engine shipped to teh US for the works, which is what you see on it now.

Nothing better than a Skyline fan who has the money to enjoy what he loves.

Yeah. Carl's car has been on sale for a while. It's a well turned-out car, and his R35 is sweet. ActionDan got a drive of it soon after Carl got it.

Carl has already expressed interest in doing an engine swap (with cash adjustment, obviously) to someone who wants that powerplant in their car.

    • Picked the car up from the dock recently. Fairly low mileage about 100k kms, car looks very well maintained inside and out. Has a hks-gtrs turbo. The car sounds cammed at idle, similar to videos ive found of the tomei 262. There is a very distinct sound coming from cylinder 1 or 2 on the intake side that sounds almost like an exhaust leak or diesel sound. Car drives fine, i have only put about 30 miles on it, still need to do a fluid flush. Any ideas on the sound? Is this how rb25 neos are supposed to sound?https://youtube.com/shorts/eqHXawpgArI?si=v5q8pZQuOrNXYrBQ
    • Only non pop-up NSX and that didn't happen till the 2000s so your point is moot.
    • I honestly had no idea the N1's had a blank FM button till I read this and did a google, makes sense but the thought never crossed my mind. Cool little skyline trivia that I will probably never use again 😆
    • Agreed, something iconic about the curves in all the right places
    • Yep r34. The bushings don't look all that old. I was going to get the nismo ones but a suspension specialist told me my car would veer left, and I'd need to put in adjustable camber arms to stop it + wheel alignment because the nismo ones are centered. He recommended that I keep my existing ones because they are camber adjusted. What are your thoughts?
