To answer the original question acording to the above link:

"For best results the LED color should be the same as the lens color. As an example: a red lens will filter out all but the red portion of the light so if the light is all red, none or very little light will be blocked by the lens. The light from a White LED contains very little light in the red portion of the visible spectrum so most of the light would be filtered out by a red lens."

Pretty sure he is just talking bout replacing the globe... to one of those LED globe things?

Or are you changing the whole brake light casing?

I just want to change the bulb not the tail light. I changed my headlight with T10 and HID and I love it. I then changed my interior light ( cluster) with T10 white and I love it. So I thought changing my rear bulb would be good too.

I will get the 1157 24-leds bulb x4 for each cover( one in each cover)
