How Worn Is Worn In A Twin Plate Clutch?

If you grab the verniers and the clutch plate is 3.2mm thick for a Nismo Super Coppermix twin plate...is that dead, near new, somewhere in between?

I've only used os giken but even new the plates wouldnt have been more than 4odd mm thick overall. I was told they are usable down to 2.5mm.
