West
This is according to the cacth can for sale thread a while a go that you show us to get it for $120!!! Anyway really appriciate that, nice one too but now i have a little problem, i had mine fitted at BMT for 2 months now and i don't think it working. I inspec it this afternoon and the thing still as new as ever. I then remember Mike ( the guy who sold it to me ) said something about there are a few hose need to be block not just the one that feed oil to the turbo alone. Anychance if you could post some pics of your engine so i can see which needed to be block? Thanks heaps. BOOSTD
Hey West, sorry about the late reply just did a 14 hour day not to mention the rest of the week...anyway the hose you need to block is between the rocker cover and intake plenum it is plumbed into the side of the rockercover and is about the same diameter as five cent coin. It is about level with the fuel pressure regulator and is 'S' shaped. You will find a valve were the hose connects to the rocker cover which needs to be blocked. A screw the same size as used for your speaker is a perfect fit. The valve closes when the engine is on boost so your catch can only is working when you have + pressure. Also idle will be upset untill the valve is blocked as the engine can suck air through this hose and through the catch can filter without the airflow meter seeing it.....which upsets your mixtures. West
COOL thanks heaps but what about the hose on top of the rocker cover that feed oil to the turbo? Does that one need to be block as well? Once again thanks heaps. West
Yes. That's the one. The one on top of the rocker cover that feed oil into the turbo. Anyway that S shape hose is the only one that you need to block? The hose that i was talking about is the one on top of the rocker that goes down to right side of the engine ( when you stood in front of the car ). Thanks. BOOSTD
the two big pipes that come from the rocker cover both need to go to the catch can. Yes the S shaped hose will make a big difference.
