an amp to run 2 10" subs

I blew my amp and i want a replacement to run 2 10" subs

I just want something that works and i dont have to fork out a alota money for.

It doesnt matter if its name brand or not

Anyone got any ideas?

Jaycar 4x100wrms

Bought for about $330 (group buy)

Chaep, but well built, and has had alot of positive reviews. Have one in my car running 4x6.5" Hetz splits.

PS: Thats: 2x220Wrms in mono mode.

i would definetly recommend the jaycar 4x100 aswell. wont get better for that price and power and quality.

if want higher quality, and spend more money, alpine mrd-500 monoblock.

its only 250RMS at 4ohms though, and when u put 2 subs on it, 125 each. (assuming u have 4ohm subs). Theyre about $500 2nd hand though.

everyone says jaycar are good ... and they probably are ... but i wouldn't want anything jaycar unless its the wires or a led LOL ... yeah i'm getting an alpine m500 too with those remotes ... ricey but cool

theyre more powerful than that alpine amp thats for sure.

theyre actually the 'response' amps, jaycar have just badged them

a lot of amps are rebadged response amps, the older vnets i think were.

dont stock that many brands though for amps

Nav2k is quite right.

However, before buying anything Audison let me know as I do special prices for my online forum buddies.

I'd personally recommend an Audison SRx2S. Very good amp for running subs with, like this for example:

They retail at $599, WAD do them for about $545 and I do them for less.

if you have two subs, and buy an m500, these amps can run at 2 ohm all day happily. My m500 which is for sale is rated to 572 watts rms at 2 ohms. you should be able to achice this by running them in series, but it is hard to say no knowing what the sus are. My new mono block is 1130 watts rms @ 2 ohms.
