The R36 Is Here!

Finally picked up the wife's new toy last night after a 6 month delivey time.

It's a VW Passat R36 Wagon - the new ultimate sleeper. (Well maybe an RS6 is but they cost 4x's as much!)

But it really is a great car and she's already looking forwards to upsetting a few people at the lights.

Nice looking jigga there snowflake. Does it have the same engine in it that the R32 does? the V6?

Coz if it does, its needs an exhaust. I heard one on swan street the other day, was pretty hot.

yeah its the 3.2 V6 i believe. I do service for VW...man these are fairly prestige cars.....R36's are REALLY nice..good buy mate

Actually you'll find the R36 is the 3.6L V6 funnily enough. And right now it sounds a whole lot better than the Honda Euro did - but maybe down the track it might need to sound even better still.

Inside though it sounds brilliant. Best factory sound system I've heard (it has the upgraded sound system though).

had an RS6 go me at the lights a couple of weeks back... i didn't bother, but it was pretty fast!

Yeah this really is a great car. Dad and I took the sedan R36 for a spin last week and loved it. He ended up ordering the Passat CC with the same engine though.
