Hi All,

My car has a Dash mounted TV and ive got a dvd player too. Does anyone have any documents or knowledge regarding operation of this unit whilst driving? I have the unit angled towards the passenger seat so it doesnt affect my vision but is this OK?

Can the police still fine me for operating it? I know a lot of the new mercs and stuff come with tv dvd sat nav and stock standard on the high models does the same apply?

Watching road runner cartoons burnt from the pc (mpegs) to vcd and watching them in the skybie is awesome :D

If you know a bit in regards to what you can and cant do with a dash mounted TV please post it here.

Thanks

Well mine faces away from the driver so It would be safe (well at least remotely safe) to assume that its OK to operate if its not facing me? Im happy to fang around with and have the passenger watch stuff. I know my girlfriend loves driving me aronud when im watching stuff on it

no its a perm mounted dash tv. doesnt fold anyway or anything. however after owning the car for about 7 months now, ive never been pulled over by the police for any type of check

1)Nothing must be in the way where the wiper blades run along. even stickers. So a big screen is a NO NO.

2) The whole dash is an impact area in a colision. Again nothing must be mounted there.

Hence this is why gauges even on the a pillar is illegal.
