Hey all,

Just noticed that my Standard Fan is starting to crack and I really do not want to lose it...

1995 R33 Series 2 RB25DET Standard Radiator Shroud, Radiator and clutch fan.

Doing a 'Search' here came up with the suggestion that

  • An Rb20 one will fit but it has less blades and will not pull as much air.
Also, it was mentioned that a VL Rb30 one will fit.
Additionally it appears that Repco may have a universal one that will fit.

I measured an old Pintara (don't laugh) fan and that is a bit small and it appears that I need something with an external hub diameter of 7 and a half inches.

Can anyone confirm what I may be able to fit as I really don't need to change clutch assembly?

u could go to the wreckers and pick up the same fan but it will come with the clutch

but why bother with the old and in with the new go with a clutch-less steel fan

Let me know how you go with the aftermarket brands.... I also need to change mine. Are the clutch fans easy to takeoff/install?

Thanks.

What is the advantage and do they make one that picks up on the same bolt holes on the Clutch Hub?

Should be pretty easy if you know the right end of a ratchet!

Let me know...Likewise...?

I haven't started to look as such yet. This week I hope!

i got a rb26 fan here at home if you want to buy one

Can you post a picture and tell me a price?

Might need you to tell me the hub size and hole to hole too.

Perhaps you can PM the details and a Price.

Bottom of the pages says "Not for performance engines" also notice the stated loss in fuel economy and operating revs!

Obviously not many have seen the damage an over reved "Flex Fan" does under the bonnet when the rivets let go.

Stick with what the factory supplied or go electric thermos
