Bought this seat and rail off a trader here on SAU only to find out after I got it that the rail won't fit in a 4 Door ;) ( my fault )

Anyway, it's now back up for sale.

The rail will suit R34 GT 2 door, R34 GTt 2 door and I believe R34 GT-R.

Condition is "VERY" good !

Seat.

PM replied to. And so nobody else asks, the spots are on the camera lense, not on the seat :P

NOTE: If you have a rail for sale that will suit this seat and most importantly, a 4 door R34, PM me cause I don't really want to sell this

Don't sell it mate it's an awesome seat. Take them to an upholsterer, they can fit your factory rails and plastics to the seat so it looks and works like a factory seat. Downside is that they make one seat out of two so you cant reuse or sell the factory seats.

I bought a set of the cheaper drift style seats and a set of "bolt on" rails. Bolt on my a$$! Two days of measuring, drilling and welding later one seat was in. After seeing my mates seats done by a custom trimmer I'm converted. (and they engineer the seats as well).

Hey, are you sure that the rail you have was previously fitted in a 2 door R34?

R32+R33 coupe and sedan rails are an exact match across Gtst and GTR. I can't imagine why in the R34 they would have changed this.

It almost looks like the rear left tab has been modified to fit S13 (as S13 bolts up to 3 stock but needs modding for the rear left tab)

Just found this... Confirming what I was saying-

Sounds like you may have got lied to about the rail??

Hmmm :D Confusing.... Anyway, I'm just going by what's on the rail sticker, so no, I'm not 100% sure about the rail. With that said though, I would be prepared to remove the buyer's drivers seat and test fit the rail in their car before completing the sale ( I'm a qualified mechanic and VERY carefull  )

Looking at the rail, it doesn't look like it's been messed with and just looks like the left rear mount has 2 holes to suit GT/GTt coupe & GT-R (?) When I tried to fit it to my sedan, the front mount points lined up perfectly, the left rear ( tunnel mount ) was very close but the rear right ( door side ) mount hole was further back and slightly off to the side ( door side ).

Anyway, I'm happy to test fit the rail in to a perspective buyer's car and if it doesn't fit, I'll go back to the SAU Trader and discuss this

And according to that link,

SKYLINES R32 R33 R34 GTS GTS-T GT-T & GTR

It is 100% fact that all skyline coupe & sedan front seats are interchangeable from 1988-2004(or when ever the last r34 was made) the front seats of the skyline sedans are all interchangeable the rears are model specific. and you CANNOT put skyline coupe seats into a skyline sedan they are much narrower and the back rest is alot shorter in the coupes!

This means the coupe seats are supposed to be more narrow and shorter than the sedan seats. This EB seat is the same height as my sedan seat and is wider. So............. :) ? AFAIK, the front seats ARE interchangeable throughout the sedans and coupes but the rails are not.

BJV, Thanks for the advise re that option. Can you PM me details like price and where you had it done please. Might be an option

bloodsword27, I'll keep your offer ( PM'd one ) in mind but for now I'd rather sell both the rail & seat together.

That nissan silvia thread needs updating..

Wrong. And also R34 GT-R seats obviously do not fit R34 GT-T.

I think you're right Howie. That thread on NS is questionable. I had a quick look at a bride rail in a R34 GTt coupe and mine looks like the same fitment so Coupe & Sedan are different rail fitment and this one should fit the coupe no probs. Anyway, like I said, I'll test fit the rail for the buyer to be 100% sure.

The coupe and the sedan seats are the same in the front but the back seats are different . I took recaros out of my sedan and swaped them with stock coupe seats and they fitted pefectly. All skyline seats are interchangable with each other EXCEPT THE R34 GTT which has 3 bolts line up, the front 2 and the inside rear, but the out side rear needs to go back and out a bit as i have just put r33 series 3 seats in my GTt sedan. So i think you have being sold the wrong rail.

Umm.... You have a GTT sedan so your floor pan is

and I have the same floor pan. And yet you can install any skyline seat in your car ? but your car is different being a GTT right !?!

I appreciate the responses but now I'm more confused :)

Not saying you you can put any skyline seat in a r34 gtt. The r34 gt/gtt has a different bolt patern to all other skylines. I had to modify the outside back mounts to get the r33 GTR seats to fit. But I dont think there is any difference between the coupes and the sedans which is why i said i think you got sold the wrong mount.

There's the piece of the puzzle I was looking for ! :P

Cheers.

    • I would paint match the whole thing to avoid unwanted attention  I had a similar bonnet, paint matched, on my old R33 GTST, but mine was a fibreglass jobbie made by Blitz in QLD, they work extremely well for radiator efficiency and under bonnet temps

    • small update time, after always wanting a "cool" looking bonnet for my car and always struggling to find one for the series 2 that i liked and wasn't an insane amount of money. Saw one i liked on RHDjapan from D-speed in Japan the price was very good for a carbon bonnet so good infact i was a little unsure how much i trusted it, decided to bite the bullet and with the help of jesse streeter in not long at all it was at my door. Once it was delivered i ran in from work and quickly unboxed it and to my surprise the quality was actually pretty good i quickly removed the old bonnet and placed on the new one to test it out and even the fitment wasnt too bad at all. Then decided to paint the little grille in the bonnet black to stop it sticking out so much.   I decided to not mess around with the hood latch and just install some aero catch hood pins, having never installed them before did some YouTube university classes and i was good to go. fair to say it is not a fun job at all from making brackets so the pins sit nicely and actually cutting through the bonnet but also being very scared of cutting the holes too big it took wayyyy longer than i would like to admit but finally got it there. Then it was time for a quick test drive to ensure the latches actually worked and thankfully the bonnet looked very stable. I still think paint matching the bonnet and leaving just the part that sticks up as carbon would help make it all look alot neater as im not sure how i feel about all that carbon on a very fridge white car but will leave it as is and see how i feel with time.
    • I think it's bound to happen, you finally get it all perfect, and bam, something will happen. I took a while to get a Commodore rear quarter repaired where a P Plater clipped it. Two days after getting it back, Sarah wiped it out on a concrete pillar in an underground car park... This is why I take forever to repair them, it stretches how long until it gets bent again... 😛
    • Nah, not really responsible for that little fiasco, but I'm still pissed at myself for writing off my 86, or when I reversed my VX into a pole just before selling it, but, meh, 5hit happens to stuff, all it takes is a slight distraction, and life is full of distractions, and "dooh" moments
