Hey,

I noticed a decent amount of people here say they have an amp in the boot right next to the battery. I just looked at mine then since i have an amp and i realised that theres wires next to the battery and the metal bit isn't exact straight either, it slopes down. So i'm assuming those that put the amp in their boot next to the battery added something to go over the top of the wires for the amp to sit on.

Could anyone tell me how they put their amp next to the battery and provide pictures if possible?

Thanks.

No pictures here... but I just got some aluminium angle from Bunnings and made up a bracket which used the screws from the fuel-pump cover.

Currently got an amp, PC power supply and USB soundcard in there... soon to put another amp in as well ;)

i mounted my amp so that when you open the boot.. its staring you right in the face. i got a piece of mdf and screwed it onto the 'back wall' just under the strut brace, then stuck the carpet bit on and the amp over that. looks ok i guess.. haven't hidden the wires perfectly but you could if you wanted to.

very nice job mintr33! very professionally done! i like it!

But hey Tyson1990 if you want something real simple just get a thick piece of mdf board and cut to size. you can screw 1 side into the battery tray and the other side into the metal which will bring it up so its not on a lean. this will also hide the existing wires and give you some space to run your own as well.

the picture included is not of an amp install, originally i had an amp here but now they are all on show so i've used this space for fuses and stuff. but gives you an idea of the board used which will do if it wont be seen. mintr33's is awesome, but looks like his is fabricated specially to suit with brackets to size and everything, a lot more work involved but looks the part, so really depends on what lengths you want to go to.

hope this helps.
