im with just cars and i want to install a fmic on my 34 but was wondering will they accept it since i have to make a hole under the battery to fit the piping?

i called them up this morning and told them what i planned on doing but they told me they didnt know and i would have to talk to the pits or something.

Why dont u get a stealth FMIC?

ARC makes them

basically both pipes use the orginal route as the SMIC.

no need to cut any holes.

:D

ive got a stealth kit on my car. Easier to install as well.. :)

You can insure fmic with JustCars, I have, they'll just tell you it will cost $xx extra on to your premium which you will have to pay within 14 days else they can terminate your insurance policy. They also seemed to have changed their opinion on turbo timers because that's on the list too.

Maybe they have changed, but when I insured with them (and still am) they allowed for unlimited modifications. Only thing they were iffy about was special paint.

The only time the premiums went up was when i had installed new stuff and wanted to increase the total amount my car is is insured for....

Better of just calling them...

The OP is asking specifically if the fact he has to cut a hole will affect his insurance.

He rang Just Cars, they didn't know what he was talking about and referred him to the pits (Vehicle Licensing).

Mate, you already have your answer - you told them you needed to do something dodgy to fit it so now, I would imagine, they will make you get it inspected..
