hi boo5tr, got a VQ30DET turbo (similar to VG30)

its good for around 215rwkw on 1bar.

good upgrade for RB20 & RB25.

only thing u need to do is remove the rear housing from old turbo and put it on this so it bolt straight up to your manifold & dump.

if you're interested pm me,

im after $170 and add $25-$35 for postage interstate.

Cheers

if it's going to take a few months to save up for a upgraded turbo, then it's probably not such a good idea.

the reason for upgrading usually would be more power, which in turn can cause more things to break...

get another good condition stocker on there, run 10psi, and you'll be fine. :)

i dont know what the original guys income is like????? all i'm saying is if he buys another stocker (12 ish years old) whats to say it will handle 10psi for long? its the luck of the draw, even at standard boost theres no guarantee.

just blew my stock turbo in my 33 its a 96 series 2.

I just put a r32 actuator in and it read 1 bar within 5 minutes she made a pop/whistle noise!!!lol

that is to bad

i use to run mine on 1bar a wile ago and was going to do it when i next go down to the track now im not ever going past 7psi i cant afford my car lol

but i have gone with out my car for a wile and it is hard but sometimes u have to. i say save-up and get a new turbo but dont go stupid 1bar is plenty

so i say go with something that can do 1 bar safely and if u need more power there are other things u can do to add that extra kick

Id get a new turbo if i were you.

Thing is with imports to be able to afford one means not just being able to purchase it, but affording all the dramas that go with imports:

high insurance costs

high fuel consumption + higher price of high octane petrol

chance of blown turbos

chance of blown motor

increased risk of speeding fines

increased risks of canary

If you require your car for work/uni with no other viable transport options being available then a skyline is not a correct choice of vehicle for you.

Barring that, my suggestion is that you take your car off the road for a few months, (which will help u save money) tell every1 u lost ur license due to the draconian traffic offence regulation in this state, and use PT/sponge lifts off parents/mates/GF/Sisters and save enough for upgraded turbo. At least you'll have a reward at the end of it all
