R33 GTS Service Questions

Hey guys! - my first post here on Skylines Australia hoping I can get some answers to my questions.

I own a Skyline R33 GTS (Late 93 Model) and have done just over 105,000km and am due to take my car in for a decent service however I have some questions regarding what should really be looked at.

I have been told to change the 'Timing Belt' at this point in time however the manager of the auto repairers cant track down parts for anything imported which I thought really sucked but at the same time can be understood. Would anybody be able to help me track down a complete 'timing belt kit'?

Also, being a major service - is there anything I should at least point out to the mechanics before they start touching anything with my engine? Thanks guys, -=Beaugus=-

I dont think there is such a thing as a 'complete timing belt kit' I just brought a timing belt from a Nissan Dealer in Frankston Vic as there were able to import direct straight from NISMO in Japan the belt cost $68.

some nissan dealers will get any import part u want even if not in the country they will get it from japan ( takes about 5 working days ) at no extra cost . i dont know any in vic but i'm sure there are some .

Hey Thanks guys! - very much appreciated, will try and push the local Nissan dealers to work out something (They virtually laughed and said we don’t deal with imports) but like shannontim mentioned about the Nissan Dealer in Frankston Victoria - should try and get in touch with them since they have dealt with this issue in the past.

The Nissan Dealer in Frankston is Gary Lecthe Nissan and the number is (03) 97822744 and it is a pretty big place good luck

If the workchop you want to take youre skyline to cant find any parts for it let alone a simple timing belt then you should go somewhere else. Many parts are simple to find if you can be bothered to look.
