Hi all,

I have been quite active in trying to source some Series 2 Front Pads other than from Nissan (Front pads - Hitachi HP63H FF

about $220/pair), locally in Australia and I think I may have found an alternative.

OPTION 1

Brand: Ausbrake (Australian Brake Company) http://www.ausbrake.com.au/

Application: Stagea Series 2 Front

Model Number: DB7648A

Cost: $85/axle set inc GST + Delivery

Available from all approved dealers Australia Wide and maybe from others as well.

See here for locations http://www.ausbrake.com.au/Aus%20Brake%20Main.htm

Ausbrake is the Victorian, South Australian and Tasmania distributor for QFM brake pads so the two companies I believe are closely affiliated.

I got mine over the counter from Brakewest- Sunshine, VIC. http://www.brakewest.com.au/

I personally printed out the brake pad template from the Japanese application chart from Fujibrake and got Brakewest to match them up against the above DB7648A pad.

Photos to follow.

OPTION 2

If you are after another alternative here it is from Hawk (US Pad Manufacturer)

Usually instock from V-Sport - Sydney www.vsport.com.au

Brand: Hawk HPS Compound

Application: Stagea Series 2 Front

Model Number: Model HB387

Lining Number: 7766

FMSI Number: D888

Cost: $161 + $12 Delivery

I am sure that Bendix and other local manufacturers will start to manufacture an alternative as well given time and increased popularity of the cars in Australia.

REAR PADS

The rear Series 2 pads are Bendix generic number 1399 (US spec J30 Infinity 1993-1997)

Very nice!!

I can see it's in an Aus Brake Box, that doesn't tell me who makes it. Aus Brake are a distributor as you've said for QFM, who manufacture pads, to the best of my knowledge Aus Brake don't manufacture pads. I'm just curious as to what they're putting in their boxes cause that's definitely not a QFM pad.
