Hey guys, just need a second opinion before i waste some money,

i own a R33 GTS-T with a RB25DET, i was driving to a mates place and all of a sudden my car started to sound like a WRX, i had a new set of plugs at home which i got and i though start with the easy fix and changed the spark plugs and nothing changed still sound like crap, so i checked all vacuum pipes and intercooler piping and nothing has come off, so decide to see which cylinder is missing, i tried all of them and found out when i unplug the number 6 coil nothing changed.....so does this mean its my coil???? car still has power and the wrx sound is constand then the car works ok for like 30 seconds and then back to the wrx sound.....so does this mean its the coil???????

HI

to see if it is your coil pack

try borrowing a known working one and replace your number six one and if the car runs fine it will confirm that its your coil pack.

you could also check that coilpack for cracks in the rubber and tape it up and see if that improves it..

Swap it with another cylinder and if that piston doesnt fire then its the coil pack

any of these will confirm a dead coilpack..

hope that helps

Corey,

check that the coil/wire harness connections are actually touching..... i had same thing and all it was was a douche didnt connect the plugs properly....

then throw in a working one and see if it works..... i dont know how to do it but ive read on here that people repair coils all the time..... im not sure but search that aswell
