Hey all,

Im trying to diagnose a problem with my car and have made up a plate to block off where my BOV goes so I can take it off.

One thing im unsure of is what to do with this hose with the arrow pointed to it in this pic, I was thinking just chuck a screw in it and block it off but wanted to make sure.

Thanks

if you have a plate to go between the BOV and the mounting plate just leave the vac line connected to the BOV.

if your removing the BOV completely and repacing it with a blanking plate then just put a bolt/screw up the end of the vac line and clamp it with a cable tie. also block off the BOV recirculate/return pipe.

If ur blocking the BOV off completely, you gotta block this too.

If ur planning on putting a different BOV elsewhere in the system, thats the vaccum line you have to run to that other BOV.

Oh PS, see you at dos tomorrow dude

What problem exactly are you trying to diagnose? I think you will find that you will only make more problems for yourself blocking the blow off valve.

My tuner said he thinks my BOV may be leaking out boost so I figured if I block it off it cant leak ?

Fair enough, on boost you will see if it was leaking. Just might stall a bit coming to a stop pressing the clutch coming from higher revs. RB's really dont like it blocked off

Sounds silly, but a plastic coke bottle cap in the return line will do the same thing as a block off plate and it's NOT possible for it to get sucked in/blow out if you are worried about that.
