Adjusting GAB adjustables

i have GAB damper adjustable shocks with settings 1-8 written on them.

which of these is soft, and which is hard?! and what would be the best setting for handling and traction on launches

you'll see that they say S and H, so if you rotate it towards S then that is the softest and viceversa

Setting up suspension is something you have to play around with yourself. Everybody has different driving styles so a suspension setup which suits you may be different to what someone else likes.

but theres no rough guideline ie hard for drift and soft for drags...?

I don't know about drag (as I'm not a drag fan) but for drift, set hard for the rear to make the rear end snappy when you give it a boot full through the corner. Then you have to adjust the front end so it's razor sharp and does turn in the direction you want it to (excellent grip).
