Hey guys and gals,

Interest in the costs related to fitting a bodykit, Ive been quoted in the range of $400 for just a front bar and up to $1500 for full bodykit fitment.

Is this normal? It seems overly expensive for body work IMO but unsure as Im sure alot of time is taken with fitment and painting.

If anyone could give me a yey or ney on if this is correct pricing or not that would be great.

Thanks

Nathaniel

P.S search engine is down.

Put it this way here in WA at fibrevision (very well known) i paid 1100 for Paint & Fit of a full bodykit.

$1500 for fitment only is a f**ken joke. Even if it was paint (stock colour) and fit thats still expensive.

yeah.. parts require modifications here and there.. had the front bar cut at the back and side holes to fit intercooler & piping.. but yeah majority is in the painting... usually more expensive gives better job.. or don't accept it and tell them to do better LOL

i'd get a written quote cause you get some who add more costs as it goes along due to some fiberglass requiring modification to fit (some fiberglass can be shocking fitments)

It is the "premier" body kit fitter in sydney, and will be sprayed by the most known sprayer on here so I assume its all in line then. Perhaps test fit before it goes in to see if its needed.

Yeap, dont think there is alot to fitment I may go about it with fitting and painting myself however unsure If I have the time. Time will tell.

Photos will be posted Id imagine 1 months time you'll spot a new post in the R34 photos section.

hey r-spec do you mean you've fitted yours before.. or you've just unbolted what was already there.. some of these kits don't always line up correctly and require some modifications.. or need some grinding out to clear parts.. now im not saying it's hard but they arent just a simple unbolt.. bolt on job.. they come as a blank.. no holes.. my do-luck bar was also diferent to the impul bar that used to be on it.. it required some brackets to be made..

EDIT: But +1 for having a crack yourself.. should be able to have a go without wrecking anything.. just remember.. Check twice.. Cut once..

LOL depends.. it has alot more hassle yeah.. i'm getting my driveway cut to the road so i don't gotta crab the driveway.. it isnt the best bar for gettting everywhere.. but it looks absolute porn and it well worth it.. but i also had an extremely lowered VT and am quite used to noticing where to be careful and how to tackle ostacles.. i really would love it in plastic cause then they are so much better taking the knocks..
