There is 2/10ths of sweet fu(k all chance of damaging your front bar. unless you drive like a total n00b.

Id love to come again... but I got exams *sniff* :) I'll double check the timetable and get back to ya.

if there's room i'd love to attend, but is their much point doing this seeing as my car isn't turbo? I spose i could put on the original wheels with jap tyres then i might have half a chance of doing some good drift :P what do you guys think? worth my while or should i wait til i get a more powerful car?

Kris (sKyLyN), there is still spot left.... I've send you a pm, let me know if you prefer Saturday or Sunday...

Hi Greg, there is still spot left and being non turbo has nothing to do with skidpan session. You can bring non turbo cars, you can bring automatic transmission cars, I mean why not? You're learning how to control a car in a skidding situation, even any old corolla/gemini can do this.... very slippery as so much water and oil...

Plus... drifting is not about speed... it's about style :)

Beside, if your car is the non turbo GTS, being a non turbo you've got more torque down low in the rev... no need to wait for the turbo to spool up, which means..... instant sideways!!!!

im cool with that :) im taking an extra set of wheels for the day is there anywhere to change em over when i get there? if so is it ok to keep them somewhere out the way until we are finished?

im not gonna go drift until i get rid of these ****ed tein suspension and buy some new tein FLEX suspension :):D:)

Are they blown/leaking or just that the ride is too hard?

Stiff suspension is great to drift/skid with ;). Just ask DJ lethal (nathan) how hard my suspension is :). As it is not a daily driver i don't mind it, and if i had to start driving it daily i would not change it.

no the stiffness is fine and i drive my car every day

but they need overhaul as i dont think they have any gas/liquid (whichever teins are filled with)

so instead of doing that which might help, but might wreck, i'll buy new ones

Ni,

Why do you need extra set for the day? I used my everyday set and it doesn't wear out. It's not like JMS D2 event in SA, if that's what you're thinking....

But you can always swap there... perhaps a worn out one at the back so it's easier to slide...

yeah the stockies are worse than the ones on my 17s... and the 17s dont have a huge amount of tread left on em.

dont want to look like a twit driving there with 16s on the rear and 17s on the front :D (cop bait)

if your rear tyres has too much grip compared to your fronts... you could understeer all the way in the bowl... it happened with one of the guys who went there last month.

better if you got time to put tyres with least grip on the back... allow you to have more fun during the day... :D

a little bit grip on the front shouldn't hurt, it'll probably prevent you from understeering and overshoot the bowl edge (if you get too excited with your right foot)

Nah, i will do all 4 as dirft is ment for all 4 wheels to slide slightly. It is easier to control the car with the accelerator. Too much front grip will cause the arse end to break out too easily.

All 4 std rims have 205, nice and thin. They are also a hardish compound :D

MEGGALA!!!

I was wondering when you're gonna come forward.

We can have max 7 ppl in one group, so you can choose

Saturday or Sunday.

I'll send you a pm when I got home from work...

Cya..

Don't worry about it. I drove around like that for about 3 weeks once.. As long as the rolling diameter is the same should be right..

Just watch out for the end of the pan mate.. ok, i am an unco :D - but i came out and knocked my bar off and chipped it slightly. Then you'll have to take it back to Palm.. and we all know what happens then !
