Hey all,

After the car was supposed to be sold, it has taken far too long to obtain the payment (8 weeks) and i am now forced to put the car back ont eh market for a re-sale. The car has stayed in the garage since the sale with not a km added. I am now very urgent to sell as it has put me in a bit of strife with a new car i have to pay for in the meantime. So it all stays the same spec as last add pasted below, but i really need to sell it now to cover my a$$ for the new car.

As title says its a dec 95 model Black manual, has done 85,000km's (imported with 73.500km's!! Basically driven to and from work only, bout 35km's a day) I am the first owner in aus. I have spent a lot of money on it since i got my liscence in feb, basically all mod's except for the air filter were put on by me since then. Oil changes every 3,000km's with Penzoil Race Synthetic with Penazene addative. Mods include:

-17*8" Gradu racing rims

-Custom ATP T03/4 turbo

-Custom AVO bar and plate front mounted intercooler with polished mandrel bent alloy piping, no welded joins (cooler polished aswell) and Hose Techniques blue silicon joins

-3" dump pipe off turbo to cat into a genuine 3" Fujitsubo LegalisR exhaust

-K&N M's high power air filter

-HKS turbo timer

-AUtometer ultra-lite pro comp gauges

-Custom alloy catch can all polished with braided fittings

-Razo race gear knob and Razo race pedals

-Custom dash switch panel covered in pearl white vinyl.

-Odyssey dry cell battery

-Nismo belt pads on all belts, and Nismo hand brake pad

-Pioneer head unit, front splits, 6*9's running off 600wAmp, boot wired ready for big sub set up, previously had a huge system in it, and have left all brand new cabling ready for new subs/amps. Also has false floor fitted with all panels and wheel well filled with dacron to kill dead sound and improve sound quality.

Also had the timing belt and all axilery belts changed, front urethane castor rod bushes and a new o2 sensor fitted so she is absolutely puuuuuuuuuurring!!. Also now has 12 months of reg to... so can't complain at all peoples!!

I am askin $21,000 with 12 months reg!! BARGAIN!!If interested, and can meet in Melbourne to view. I am looking to get rid of it asap, she is one of the best round, trust me!! I can organise a roady very easily for it which can be discussed, but i have already wasted a few hundred on 2 roadies to the previous supposed buyer and am not looking forward to wasting my money out of good faith a 3rd time which i guess you can understand. Thnx all, j.

Problem is i have a deposit on the car already cos i couldn't let it go so i am gunna have to take out fiannce and pay interest on teh friggen thing to cover my a$$ and stuff so yeah. But yeah call me on 0402 488 879 and we can organise something, as i said urgent sale... only problem is the friggen battery is now flat cos of the alarm and been sitting there for 8 weeks... so there goes the 400 buck odyssey, but i'll have that sorted asap.

Thnx dude... what you drive? Have i passed ya? I hardly ever drove it really, and lately... havn't at all lol ah well. There's a few bootn' round now in our area... couple up the street from me, couple of supra's aswell, 5 of my mates have them adn they all live round the area so guess ya would have seen them aswell, like eddie's HOTLNE and those guys.

P.s. Price is negotiable within reason... reasonable offers only please i have had enough to worry bout as it is lol and PLEASE only serious buyers, no test pilots, as with last time car will not be test driven unless its serious, but i am mroe than happy to take interested people for a drive.

yeah no doubt, they live in there them guys... so annoying lol i went there the day i had cooler finished, friggen no front bar, with biggass shiny cooler and pipes man heads turned everywhere including the cops'... told me to go home or they would place a power restriction on my liscence :) spose thats what ya get for being 18 with a skyline lol

its a 96 but only 98,000kms. 420hp turbo, apexi power fc, sti ratio box, lowered on sti arms, full exhaust, blitz bov, blitz guages, k and n pod filter, cusco strut braces, black with red pearl, apexi electronic boost controller, etc etc

nah soz dude, don't want any car late than 99/00 at the lowest. thnx anyway... common peoples you can't get much better deal than what i am asking at that price. There is so shyte as skylines selling for more than what i am asking that are basically stock...!! Asking 20,500 now

    • I mean it's probably likely that people overestimate their skills in dialling in a setup and noticing the changes. I had SK shocks and springs, and added heavier springs and got them revalved by Sydney Shocks to suit based upon what I told them I wanted the car to handle like. I got back a completely different feeling set of shocks, which probably (?) feel great on track but holy hell are they rough on tram tracks and the like. The shock dyno actually looks pretty similar to Shockworks (from what I can surmise from a screenshot of a youtube video - and my dyno printout...) Truth be told I doubt I'd be any faster or slower with either setup, or camber/castor combination. I also had whiteline eccentric castor bushes up front of my R34. I removed them and put in poly non-adjustable ones to soothe my OCD (nobody ever set the castor the same side to side, and it'd be near impossible to do) and be happy the wheel is centered in the well now for clearance reasons. Yes I wanted it to move 1mm 'back' :p I've effectively set my castor back to stock, negating all the benefits of that which is supposedly massive. I've probably also altered toe and camber in a negative (detrimental) way. I can't tell any difference steering the car.
    • You reckon? I have to disagree. Notwithstanding that at some point we may all be forced to do this to our cars if we want to keep driving them, there is absolutely nothing about an electric-converted-previously-IC-car that is ever good. EVs that are built by OEMs on platforms that were originally IC already suck, let alone the shitty outcomes that result from doing it as a retro to something that was actually built as an IC car. This is because the platform really needs to be designed to house the battery in a useful place (ie, down as low as possible) and the motors are properly located relative to the wheels that they have to drive. Converted platforms already suck at this. But when you try to shove sufficient battery capacity into a previously IC car, you can't put it down on/in the floor, because that space doesn't exist. You can't find enough space where the fuel tank used to be (if it is an inboard fuel tank) and you don't want to hang it out behind the rear axle line if you had a rear fuel tank. And there's not enough space in the tunnel if you still want to use it for anything remotely like what it was originally used for. The engine bay is too big for a motor, and you'd really prefer that the motor for the rear wheels wasn't in the front engine bay anyway. And there's not enough room where the diff was for a proper man-sized E motor. And then.... there is the complete lack of soul and emotion that is provided by EVs. There are some cracking restomods out there. Like the Alfaholics GTA thingo. But it is petrol powered. Look at the alternative EV version of a GTA restomod by Totem. it is jaw droppingly beautiful. But by all reports is is objectively awful to drive, despite having 600 HP or something, simply because there is nothing there. It sounds like a sewing machine or a leaf blower. It should scream and wail and make the hairs on your neck stand up. Oh, and it's 1500 bloody kg in a car that was <900kg when new. GTRs are heavy enough as it is without pushing them up to 2tonnes worth of pork.

    • hahaha @joshuaho96 the most action it gets is when I have to drive from West to SE VIC to meet the fam. Even then, it;s on highway cruising speeds
    • don't know anyone in this thread, but i just found it, read the entire thing in a few hours, realized greg is still posting progress, and just have to say, this is awesome. it looks awesome. 100% right about the Uras kit making it a pain to get on hoists...have the same kit on my 34 and it takes six 2x4s and race ramps to do it without taking parts off. this reminds me exactly of this thread. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/build-projects-and-project-cars/r63-amg-the-unicorn-of-my-destruction/110824/page8/
