Crank angle sensor hassles?

Hi,

I have had no spark with my VG30DETT, so when I took a plug out to make sure I also took the Crank angle sensor out as well, I found that by spinning it it sometimes gave a spark, but not all the time, I could hear it click the fuel pump on when I spun it too( which must mean its giving a signal of some sort), could someone PLEASE tell me if the problem would be with the CAS( is there any other way to check it?), or maybe with the igniter?

any help would be great!

possibly broken shaft had similar problem, found the shaft in the sensor was broken but would catch and turn every now and then.

I had the crank angle sensor checkout tonight, even tried another one in it, we did some more testing, it looks like it could be the igniter,
