Just returned from a visit with the guy that smashed my car.

Typical bogan, lives in housing trust house with his mum in Elizabeth, the wrecked commodore is in the front yard with another wreck.

They have no insurance, no money and are also stating that i was speeding.

I seriuosly feel like beating the sh1t out of him and his mum.

I only had 3rd party, fire and theft, this is gonna be a long and painfull experience with legal action and at worst, debt collectors (hired goons)

I hope no one has to go through this, but i'm sure i'm not the first person this has happened to.

Getting a crash repairer to inspect the extent of the damage, will seriosly be considering a gtr front.

That makes me so f*#king angry man that is so bullsh!t, if i had the money i would come down there and go round to this f*ckheads house and beat the shit out of him with you.

Like F*ck it was your fault, if you were in the left lane and he was in the right, it is his duty to check over his shoulder, you don't have to be looking out to see if he's f*cking changing lanes or not.

Wat a F*CKHEAD.

But that sucks you dont have full insurance man. I know myself i had a crash last year (very minor) tapped the arse end of a 4wd and bent his precious towbar (poor fella was supposed to go fishing that weekend, oh how i felt so sorry for him............not) anyways i didnt pay the insurance for my car (old r31) the year before but now i have to pay off his insurance company........ so surely if he gets centrelink or sumthing they can take a percentage out of that each week

anyways i hope it works out for you mate.

glad you read youre both ok! gotta be thinkful for that

but yeah youll have to take legal action if they dont get scared by a letter of demand

your fire and theft insurance company will probably be happy to give you advice about what you can do and where you stand legally. give them a call

Yeah insurance isnt cheap for us under 25'ers hay...

Im 18 (19 in less than 2 weeks >_< ) but still have comp cover with JustCar. Its costing me about 1000 a year but my excess is massive!

Cheffstagea is also with justcar and he just purchased the 260rs and ITS CHEAPER to insure even with a bigger engine and higher agreed value. WTF?!

Im pretty sure the entire sa stag crew will be on your side on this one mate. sing out at anytime and im sure half a dozen angry wagons will be willing to rock up at this fellows place. Supprised ruby hasnt popped up yet :bunny: angry bikers with attitude i tell you :bunny:

sorry to hear about ur accident. at least no one was hurt. these sort of situations make me so mad and unfortunately they happen far too often. they also make me ashamed to own my commodore. i wish all these d!$&heads would put on their lead shoes and take a long walk off a short pier.

yeah I extended the seat rail by 50mm, makes a huge difference. just makes it a 3-seater when Im stretched right out. comfy :P

also got rid of the left foot rest pad, and sit the seat as low as possible. sunroof etc isnt an issue, plenty headroom

Cheers guys for all your support.

My mate works at ALL TYPE CRASH and they do awsome work, so if its repairable a 34 front will be going on.

I may get some money now that Kevin Rudd has given out these bonuses, hope its a large bogan family where i can get all of there bonuses.

But then again they all probably don't work.

    • Hi there, after a quick google search I found this topic as I am also relocating the battery to the boot of my 1998 GTT. I was just wondering how you got on with installing the re-routing and specifically the installing of the harness protectors? How do they attach? Are they just a simple "click-in" affair, or do they attach with bolts? Does the GTT have all the necessary fixing holes for them, for example, where they locate on the chassis? Any help you can provide would greatly appreciated.
    • Thanks mate, yeah I've heard that alot and i am definitely regretting using the 25 Loom now, i have gone through and traced all the plugs from the 20loom and re wired them into the 25 loom, I have currently got Crank, Fuel and accessory's working, just need to finalise the loom and run the wire for the Ignition (Spark) and it should be running, will update if i have any luck.
    • Cheers lad, when I head over there I'll give it a shot.
    • Stock less likely to carry one like that than urethane, but still can, especially if the bolts are not as tight as they should be. If it's making that much noise you should be able to use a hose as a stethoscope> stick one end in your ear, crouch down and wave it around the various possible noise makers and get someone to lift the front end at the guard lip.
    • Broken actuator rod. Could be one of a couple of them broken. Or, it's locked and the central locking actuator is broken/stuck or the actuator rods between it, the lock and the key barrel are jammed or broken similarly. You'll probably need a locksmith/mechanic who is experienced with using slim tools to reach down next to the window glass to manipulate the mechanism. That's assuming that it is not so severely jammed/broken that nothing useful will move.
