I believe the owner of this one is on here somewhere.

he had three requests:

keep the cargo cover so his dog could ride back there

the seats had to fold flat so he could haul things

it had to sound good.

the rest is open slather as long as I stayed within a budget

timewise it was not a concern as its a weekend toy.

this is also my Cruise control mule.

I was presented with this:

told this had to stay:

First Layout idea:

this one didn't work as I hadn't taken into account the cross brace directly behind the seat.

most of this is sitting one things currently for this pic. the sub is mounted UNDER the floor in a removeable

box that fits neatly in the spare wheel. the whole thing comes out so you can get at the

spare tyre. tools are built into the box with a carpet damper so they do not rattle.

(no images yet.)

The amplifers are under 13mm plexiglass and they have two white neon lights that are on a switch to light them up.

time so far 3 weeks on and off between jobs.

Chris, can you buy those MDF speaker mounts from a shop, or even you directly? I don't do wood. If I can't weld it, I don't touch it! :D

for M/V35 - yes. for a C34 - no. yours are different. I make these - they cannot be bought to my knowledge.

ahhh cool as (excuse the pun)

it also reminds me of this install a little http://www.gotou.info/UsersCar/Users_Car/users_stagea.html

Damn! Thats a fairly large amount of effort involved!

stagea04.jpg

who do you recommend in Victoria?

i wasn't a fan of the work done by performance car audio, the 'sales' guy at stylin didn't have the greatest attitude... and with a new car coming most likely late this year, need a new installer.

or time for a road trip LOL

if it was a balding older fellow that you talked to at boronia then you met adam. he's pretty to the point when it comes to things. go see him again and mention me

road trip - yep. I need to sink my teeth into a C34. I do too many M/V35s currently..

more images in a bit. got more done on it today.

underside. there is black mesh in the rear slots. I'm doing a test fit on this checking things and reseating

6 blind nuts that I had to pull out to flush the mesh into place

this is the retaining catch that holds these things shut when the struts are in good condition

I have yet to put the retaining straps (at rear) in place.

Nice work, Chris! I'm currently thinking about upgrading my stereo properly (with a single-DIN DVD player, some Dynamat or similar, some amps and a subwoofer, and will replace my Boston speakers if they need it)

I'd like to stick to an Alpine head unit, but am pretty open to what amps and speakers to use, but focussing on SQ for my own personal enjoyment. Can you recommend anyone in Sydney? If I can get it all done in one place, that would be preferred.
