good work, all the best.

As for the polarity, it will all depend on where the switch is (so to speak) to find out if it will drive the right way. Don't think you want it to drive the wrong way.

you should be able to work out that fairly easily without connecting it first.

see picture above Stephen.....

It all works schaaaaaweeeeeeeeet!....(YAY!)

I was having a bit of fun with the polarity comment!...I assure you buddy!.....I used a multimeter, prior to committing to a solder joint.

Saved me some serious dosh, this fix!!

with a dwell/'action' of only <500ms (half a second), it luckily would create no issues if you were to wire it the wrong way, (gear damage wise)....it would just work in reverse....no internal 'gear callibration' was necessary either!....the gear either swings one way or the other..creating a push/pull action.

PS. It's still working!!!..(it's had about 300 test 'actions' so far.)..I expect it to last a few years!

hahaha...nah...that guy is a pro...I'm a hack.

but a good one :)

I was looking at the original item you had was was thinking jaycar myself. only issue I saw was resealing it.

Thanx Chris!...if it wasn't for you I wouldn't have got my ass into gear and actually attempt it...(the Yen thing scared me!)

Yes, re-sealing...well....I thoroughly inspected the area of my boot for any traces of splash or oxid....couldn't find any, dry as a bone.

So I taped her up.!......Honestly, if she fails I'll enjoy fixing it again...I have access to many robot arm servos!..lol!..(Z-axis drive motors).

Ok, good work and I vote you Chris 2IC!

Whatch your back Chris...

So what did you save, what was the part worth?

So, if we get the same problem we can come and see you about the supply of a Robot Arm Servo.

Honest...I've got nothing on Chris....(waves the Chris banner)

I was quoted between 160 and 200 buh, plus fitment, from Nissan...a phone call, with the FAST numbers from Chris.

The cost to me in actual was, ....'my time'.

But Stephen, if you ever need some help (with this unit)-(heaven forbid), I'll gladly help you...the motor is nothing special, in itself....and I'm willing to bet that a better sized item (motor) could be found at a shop.

If I had the time I'd ask for your units, fix them then send them back....(if I had the time).

Cheers mate.
