Hey, I'm in the process of installing a front facing standard plenum on my rb25. The top section bolts go in fine and tightens up but the bolts underneath sit out from the runners about 3-4mm, Has anyone had this drama, Is there two style of plenums on rb25det, or are they supposed to sit out this much. I just cant see it offering a very good seal if they are not tightening the runners and plenum together. Any information would be great. This is not my original plenum rather one I purchased allready modified.

Hey mate,

I had a look at the original photos and it did have the rubber grommets on mine down the bottom. However I changed the plenum to a standard but front facing and now the bolts are too short. Maybe I need to put a few washers on and then put the rubber on due to some variations in the plenum design. Even with the rubbers off the top ones on the bottom there is still a couple of mm gap.. nissan cant find me a part number without having a jap vin. Doesnt help the engine is an rb30det with nothing else to back it up. The gasket in question is a rubber gasket. However the guy I brought plenum off gave me a same design steel gasket with rubber rings on it that might be a bit thicker. Once I can get some more of these rubbers I will probably just space it out as my rubber gasket is in way better condition,
