Hey all,

My r32 gtr stock tacho doesn't work and I have just replaced the cluster with a new nismo cluster and this tacho does not work either. I am not sure if the wires on the back of the instrument cluster were connected correctly. There is a black and a green wire coming from the tacho module. I have screwed them down onto the points circled in the attached photo. Can anybody confirm this is correct? Pin out wire 7 is the tacho signal wire from the ECU is it possible to test if the ECU is sending out a signal using a multimeter? Feel free to admire my MS Paint skillz.

Thanks

After a closer inspection I realise the silver box at the back of the instrument cluster is not even for the tacho its a chim of some sort. So the only thing left to do is test the tacho signal wire. Anybody know how to test this signal? From what I have read it is a pulse signal and not voltage driven.

Thanks
