Hey guys. Once i pull it out of my Wife's S13 i will have a NA SR20DE up for grabs. It has done 2hundred thou K's hence the reason why i'm selling so cheap.   All good mate I'm mostly leaning towards the CANBUS differences being the problem. My arduino adapter is en route so I will report back.
