I use Meguiar's on my wheels, and yes it does contain some acid. But it's fine on clear coat and I think it's ok for exposed alloy. Read the bottle before buying it to make sure, but I think it'll be ok. But that's why I said to hose it out properly, it won't do much to metal in a few minutes but over a few weeks or months it might start to disolve pits in the metal.

Lepperfish do you have any brands in mind???

I just want to get that dull look of my cool and make it shinny again without the hassel of removing it and getting it polished up.

Ive used braso by hand it seems to work on the long bars accros the cool but takes tooo long to do so need a spray on hose off

You're looking for something that probably doesn't exist - a heavy duty spray on clearer, that isn't going to kill your paint, and is going to clean the metal.

If you're serious about it, pull off you're front bumper (its a 20min job), lightly sand it and polish. You'll get a much better result in the end.
